Job summary

Dignifyd in South Delhi, NCR is seeking a Head of Technology to lead the engineering function for its IoT product line and government/enterprise clients. You will shape architecture, hiring standards, and delivery culture as the top technical authority in the company.

You will build the tech organization from the ground up, own multi-year roadmaps, and mentor a multi-discipline team across hardware, firmware, cloud, and mobile.

Qualifications

• 12-18+ years of progressive technology leadership experience (CTO/VP Engineering or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling IoT products end-to-end.
• Track record leading client-facing technical relationships, ideally with government or large-enterprise accounts.
• Supply chain and logistics domain exposure strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams of 10+.

Location: South Delhi, NCR | Employment Type: Full-time | Reports to: CMD

Role Summary

We are building out a dedicated technology function to support its IoT product line and its growing base of government and enterprise clients. The Head of Technology will be the single senior-most technical authority in the organization, responsible for setting technology direction, building the engineering organization from the ground up, and acting as company's technical face in front of clients, partners, and regulators. This is a foundational hire: the person in this role will directly shape the architecture, hiring bar, and delivery culture for the entire Tech Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own company's overall technology strategy, architecture standards, and multi-year technical roadmap.
• Build, structure, and scale the Tech Team from the ground up, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management for direct and indirect reports.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, particularly government and enterprise accounts, including participation in RFPs, technical due-diligence, and security/compliance reviews.
• Own architecture and technology decisions for company's IoT product line, including build-vs-buy, vendor selection, and platform choices.
• Establish engineering best practices - code quality, testing, deployment, and security standards - across all pods.
• Own technical risk management, including escalation and resolution of critical production or client-facing issues.
• Partner with the CMD on resourcing, budget, and prioritization decisions for the technology function.
• Represent technology considerations in company-wide strategic planning and decision-making.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies

• Deep hands-on background in software architecture and systems design, with credibility across at least one major technology stack.
• Strong understanding of IoT product architecture - device connectivity, edge/cloud data flows, and platform integration.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), security fundamentals, and data-compliance frameworks relevant to government/enterprise clients.
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients.
• Strong people-leadership skills - hiring, mentoring, and performance management of technical teams.
• Has shipped a connected product at scale (devices in the field, OTA updates, fleet-level monitoring
• Understands device security, such as secure boot, encryption and tamper detection, which is critical for secure logistics
• Has built and led an engineering team across hardware, firmware, cloud and mobile
• Knows telematics or logistics compliance, such as AIS-140
• Can balance cost, reliability and speed of delivery
• PSU/Government Sector work experience is preferred.

Targeted Qualifications
