Job summary

Dignifyd seeks an experienced technology leader to define and own the company's tech strategy, architecture standards, and a multi-year roadmap. The role focuses on building a scalable tech organization and guiding government and enterprise client engagements.

You will lead IoT product architecture, manage vendor decisions, enforce engineering best practices, and partner with senior leadership on resourcing and budget to drive strategic tech initiatives.

Qualifications

• 12–18+ years of progressive technology leadership experience (CTO / VP Engineering / Head of Engineering or equivalent).
• Experience building and scaling IoT products end-to-end.
• Experience leading client-facing technical relationships, government or large-enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities

• Define and own overall technology strategy, architecture standards, and multi-year technical roadmap.
• Build, structure, and scale the Tech Team from the ground up, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management for direct and indirect reports.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for government and enterprise clients, including RFPs, technical due-diligence, and security/compliance reviews.
• Own architecture and technology decisions for IoT product line, including build-vs-buy, vendor selection, and platform choices.
• Establish engineering best practices — code quality, testing, deployment, and security standards — across all pods.
• Own technical risk management, including escalation and resolution of critical production or client-facing issues.
• Partner with the CMD on resourcing, budget, and prioritization decisions for the technology function.
• Represent technology considerations in company-wide strategic planning and decision-making.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies

• Deep hands-on background in software architecture and systems design, with credibility across at least one major technology stack.
• Strong understanding of IoT product architecture — device connectivity, edge/cloud data flows, and platform integration.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), security fundamentals, and data-compliance frameworks relevant to government/enterprise clients.
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients.
• Strong people-leadership skills — hiring, mentoring, and performance management of technical teams.

Targeted Qualifications

• 12–18+ years of progressive technology leadership experience (CTO / VP Engineering / Head of Engineering or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling IoT products end-to-end.
• Track record leading client-facing technical relationships, ideally including government or large-enterprise accounts.
• Supply chain and logistics domain exposure strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams of 10+.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Prior experience in a founder-led or fast-scaling company moving from ad hoc to structured technology practices.
• Direct experience with government procurement or compliance processes (e.g., data localization, security clearances).
• Existing network of technical talent in Delhi/NCR to support future hiring.
