RoleOverview
TheManager – Founder’s Office (Technology) is a high-trust, high-impact strategicrole designed for an exceptionally sharp technologist who will work directlyalongside the CTO. This person will function as a force-multiplier for the CTO— accelerating technical decision-making, removing engineering blockers, andowning critical initiatives across Product Engineering, AI/ML, Data Platforms,Architecture, and Security.
Thisis not an administrative role. You will be in the room where it happens —participating in architecture and technical strategy discussions, synthesisingcomplex technical information into executive-grade recommendations, and drivingoutcomes that directly shape the technology trajectory of the company.
KeyResponsibilities
Strategic Enablement & CTO Support
- Shadow the CTO acrossarchitecture reviews, engineering leadership meetings, client technicaldiscussions, and vendor/partner evaluations — synthesising takeaways into clearaction plans
- Serve as the CTO’s analyticaland operational backbone: research, benchmark, and translate emergingtechnology trends into actionable engineering strategy
- Prepare high-quality technicalstrategy decks, RFC reviews, and architecture presentations independently
- Identify technical bottlenecks,tech debt, and scaling risks, and proactively develop structured, sustainablesolutions before they escalate
- Actively support the CTO acrosssprint planning, roadmap prioritisation, and release cycles — from backloggrooming to go-live readiness
- Own and track engineeringdelivery metrics (velocity, uptime, defect rates, deployment frequency) incollaboration with Engineering Managers; surface data-backed insights to improve delivery efficiency
- Lead or co-lead technical RFPresponses, solution architecture documents, and proof-of-concepts for newproducts or key accounts
- Coordinate closely with Product,Engineering, DevOps, QA, and Security teams to align on technology roadmapmilestones
- Co-create the 1-year and 3-yeartechnology roadmap with the CTO — covering platform architecture, AI/MLcapability build-out, infrastructure scaling, and security posture
- Drive engineering OKR/KPItracking across functions; flag deviations and recommend corrective actionswith urgency
- Lead special projects andcross-functional technical initiatives from problem framing through to outcomedelivery
- Conduct competitive technologyanalysis, tooling/vendor benchmarks, and build-vs-buy studies to informstrategic technical pivots; research product roadmaps and run competitormapping to keep the company's technology positioning ahead of the market
Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Act as a trusted liaison betweenthe CTO and internal stakeholders, including other CXOs — ensuring clarity,alignment, and follow-through on technical commitments
- Own and maintain executivedashboards consolidating engineering, product, and business metrics for the CTOand other CXOs, and conduct structured reviews to track progress againstroadmap commitments
- Represent the CTO in selectinternal reviews, client technical discussions, or partner/integrationdiscussions when required
- Draft and review criticaltechnical documentation, architecture proposals, RFCs, and technology strategymemos

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Qualification (Mandatory — one of the following)
- Option A: B.Tech in ComputerScience (or related field) from a premium institute — IIT, NIT, or IIIT
- Option B: B.Tech in CS/relatedfield from a premium engineering institute + M.Tech / MS in Computer Science,AI/ML, or a related technical discipline (preferred, not mandatory)
Work Experience
- Total experience: 3–5 years postB.Tech
- Minimum 2–3 years in a Founder’sOffice, CTO’s office, Technical Program Management, or Solutions Architecturerole
- Hands‑on software engineeringexperience (has shipped production code) strongly preferred
- Prior exposure to AI/ML, dataplatforms, cybersecurity, or enterprise SaaS products is strongly preferred
- Exceptional first-principlesthinking and structured problem-solving ability (case-interview + system-designcalibre)
- Strong technical foundation:system design, distributed systems, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), andmodern data stores (SQL/NoSQL/vector/graph)
- Deep understanding of AI andAnalytics products — working knowledge of AI/ML, LLMs, and data engineeringpipelines are a strong plus
- Ability to read and review code,architecture diagrams, and technical specs; hands‑on scripting (Python)preferred
- Strong technical communication —able to translate deep technical concepts for both engineers and businessstakeholders
- Data-driven mindset: comfortablewith engineering dashboards, metrics, and analytics tools
- Ability to move fast, handleambiguity, and deliver under pressure with minimal supervision
- High emotional intelligence anddiscretion — you will handle confidential technical and product information
- Willingness to roll up sleevesand execute — review code, sit in architecture reviews, not just advise
