Job summary

Miraggio is seeking a Head of Sourcing in Gurugram to own end-to-end sourcing strategy for retail product categories, onboard manufacturers/vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, and optimize product availability, quality, and margins across the business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in sourcing/procurement within fashion/retail.
• Proven vendor/manufacturer relationship management across domestic and international markets.
• Experience with private label sourcing and seasonal buying cycles.
• Strong negotiation and cost-optimization skills.
• Ability to align sourcing with merchandising calendars and launches.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing roadmap for product categories (apparel/footwear/accessories/general merchandise) aligned with seasonal buying calendars.
• Identify and evaluate manufacturers, vendors, and trading partners—domestic and international.
• Drive private label / in-house brand sourcing strategy, if applicable.
• Track fashion/retail market trends, raw material costs, and seasonal demand shifts to inform sourcing plans.
• Build and manage relationships with manufacturers, wholesalers, and trading partners.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Conduct factory/vendor audits for quality, capacity, and compliance (labor standards, safety, sustainability).

Title: Head of Sourcing

Location: Gurugram

About Role

The Head of Sourcing will own end-to-end sourcing strategy for Miraggio's retail product categories, identifying and onboarding manufacturers/vendors, negotiating pricing and terms, managing seasonal and bulk buying cycles, and ensuring product availability, quality, and margins are optimized across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

• Develop the sourcing roadmap for each product category (apparel/footwear/accessories/general merchandise, etc.) aligned with seasonal buying calendars
• Identify and evaluate new manufacturers, vendors, and trading partners — domestic and international
• Drive private label / in-house brand sourcing strategy, if applicable
• Track fashion/retail market trends, raw material costs, and seasonal demand shifts to inform sourcing plans
• Build and manage relationships with manufacturers, wholesalers, and trading partners
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs (minimum order quantities), payment terms, and delivery schedules
• Conduct factory/vendor audits for quality, capacity, and compliance (labor standards, safety, sustainability)

Cost & Margin Optimization

• Identify cost-saving opportunities across sourcing categories to protect and improve gross margins
• Partner with Merchandising/Buying teams on landed cost calculations and pricing strategy
• Negotiate better terms during peak seasons (EOSS, festive, new launches)

Supply Planning & Inventory Alignment

• Align sourcing timelines with merchandising calendars, new collection launches, and replenishment cycles
• Manage lead times to prevent stockouts or excess inventory
• Coordinate with logistics/warehousing teams on import, customs, and delivery timelines (if sourcing internationally)
• Lead and mentor the sourcing/buying team
• Set sourcing KPIs (cost savings, vendor lead time, quality compliance) and track performance
• Build negotiation and category expertise within the team

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Merchandising, Design, Finance, and Retail Operations teams
• Support new product development (NPD) with timely, cost-effective sourcing
• Partner with Finance on cost budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure vendor compliance with quality standards, labor practices, and sustainability guidelines
• Develop contingency sourcing plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions (raw material shortages, geopolitical/logistics risks)

Requirements

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in sourcing/procurement within retail, fashion, or consumer goods
• Proven experience managing vendor/manufacturer relationships, ideally across domestic and international markets
• Experience with private label sourcing and seasonal buying cycles preferred

Skills

• Strong negotiation skills with manufacturers, agents, and trading houses
• Understanding of retail merchandising calendars, landed costing, and margin structures
• Familiarity with quality control, compliance audits, and sourcing/ERP systems
