Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in equity research (fundamental/technical).
• Minimum 5 years in leadership roles managing research teams.
• Must be SEBI-registered Research Analyst with exposure to SEBI RA regulations.
• Proven track record of published research and media visibility in capital markets.
• High ethical standards with no adverse regulatory history.

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Research to lead, scale, and represent our equity research business across institutional and retail segments. You will serve as the primary architect of our research philosophy, driving thought leadership while ensuring our output remains a trusted benchmark for market participants.

Key Deliverables

• Define and execute the overarching research strategy, including coverage universe, sector allocation, and fundamental/technical research methodologies.
• Lead and mentor a multi-sector team of analysts, fostering a culture of high-performance, ethical research, and continuous professional development.
• Oversee the production of institutional-grade research, including thematic reports, earnings updates, and actionable strategy notes.
• Ensure 100% adherence to SEBI (Research Analyst) Regulations, internal compliance protocols, and Chinese wall enforcement.
• Act as the primary research spokesperson, representing the firm across business news media, financial panels, and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with institutional sales and business development teams to drive research-led client acquisition and product innovation.
• Maintain direct engagement with domestic institutional investors, mutual funds, and proprietary trading desks to provide high-conviction market insights.

Essential Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in fundamental and technical equity research.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing research teams within sell-side research houses, broking firms, or institutional desks.
• Must be a SEBI-registered Research Analyst.
• Deep, demonstrable expertise in SEBI RA regulations, insider trading norms, and research compliance frameworks.
• Proven track record of published research and media visibility in the capital markets ecosystem.
• High ethical standing with no adverse regulatory history.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CFA, CA, or MBA (Finance).
• Established network within the domestic institutional investor community.
• Prior experience serving as a Head of Research, Chief Analyst, or Senior Sector Head with significant media presence.
