Job summary

Intellectual Capital Hr Consulting in Mumbai seeks an Equity Research Analyst with 8+ years of experience to join a leading capital markets firm. You will conduct fundamental equity research, build financial models, and generate independent investment recommendations including Buy, Hold and Sell ratings.

The role involves developing research views, setting target prices, publishing research reports and tracking companies under coverage. CFA/CA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Equity Research andSell-Side / Institutional Equity Research preferred.
• Must have experience covering listed companies and independently generating investment views.
• Hands-on stock recommendations, target price setting and Buy/Hold/Sell ratings.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Equity Research Analyst to join the research team of a leading capital markets firm.

The role will involve conducting fundamental equity research, covering listed companies, building financial models, and generating independent investment recommendations including Buy, Hold and Sell ratings.

The candidate will be responsible for developing research views, setting target prices, publishing research reports and closely tracking companies under coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed fundamental research on listed companies across assigned sectors.
• Independently analyse companies, industries, business models, financial performance and growth prospects.
• Develop and maintain financial models, earnings estimates and valuation models.
• Initiate and maintain coverage on companies and formulate clear investment recommendations.
• Assign and regularly review Buy / Hold / Sell ratings and corresponding target prices.
• Prepare and publish initiation reports, result updates, company reports, sector reports and thematic research reports.
• Track quarterly results, investor presentations, management commentary, corporate announcements and industry developments.
• Evaluate key business drivers, earnings growth, valuation, management quality, competitive positioning and investment risks.
• Conduct peer comparison and relative valuation analysis.
• Revise earnings estimates, target prices and investment ratings based on new information and changing business fundamentals.
• Participate in management meetings, analyst meets, investor conferences and earnings calls.
• Develop differentiated investment views and identify potential investment opportunities and catalysts.
• Interact with institutional investors, fund managers and sales teams to discuss research views and investment ideas.
• Provide timely research updates and actionable insights to clients.

Candidate Profile

• 8+ years of experience in Equity Research.
• Prior experience in Sell-Side / Institutional Equity Research is preferred.
• Must have experience covering listed companies and independently generating investment views.
• Should have hands-on experience in stock recommendations, target price setting and Buy / Hold / Sell ratings.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, business analysis, valuation and financial modelling.
• Ability to independently build an investment thesis and defend research views.
• Strong research report writing and communication skills.
• Experience interacting with institutional investors, fund managers and company management would be an advantage.
• CFA / CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification would be preferred.
