Job summary

Beat Educations seeks a visionary Head of Research & Development to lead curriculum design, academic innovation, and technical learning design. You will drive industry-aligned programs across Data Analytics, SAP/ERP, AI/Automation, and executive upskilling, ensuring relevance and employability.

You will mentor curriculum developers and SMEs, collaborate with industry partners, and oversee the integration of AI, real-time analytics, and hands-on labs in hybrid/offline programs.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in higher education, corporate training, or EdTech curriculum design, with 3+ years in leadership/head of R&D or academic product management.
• Strong background in technology and enterprise learning (Data Analytics, AI/ML, ERP, Software Development, or modern Business Management).
• Pedagogical mastery in instructional design, OBE, experiential learning, and hybrid learning architectures.
• Experience with tracking industry shifts and turning data into course frameworks.
• Proven cross-functional leadership across instructional designers, tech developers, and SMEs.
• Familiarity with India and GCC education/skilling landscapes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum innovation and updating across Data Science, SAP/ERP, AI/Automation, Finance/Accounting, Sales, and Corporate Leadership.
• Analyze regional and global job trends to identify skill gaps and convert into marketable training modules.
• Oversee EdTech and AI integration, hands-on labs, and practical project simulators in hybrid/offline programs.
• Establish academic quality standards, evaluation frameworks, and guidelines for student employability.
• Direct a team of curriculum developers, instructional designers, and SMEs; partner with industry practitioners.
• Collaborate with corporate partners and vendors to align curriculum with real-world tools and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Innovation & Upgradation: Lead the conceptualization, design, and continuous updating of industry-aligned curricula across key domains (Data Science, SAP/ERP, AI/Automation, Finance/Accounting, Sales, and Corporate Leadership).
• Industry & Skill Gap Research: Analyze regional and global job market trends (specifically across India and the GCC) to identify emerging skill gaps and translate them into marketable, high-ROI training modules.
• EdTech & AI Integration: Oversee the integration of emerging EdTech tools, AI-assisted learning frameworks, hands-on project simulators, and practical labs into our hybrid and offline program architectures.
• Quality Assurance & Pedagogy: Establish rigorous academic quality standards, evaluation frameworks, and practical project guidelines to ensure high learning retention, engagement, and student employability outcomes.
• Faculty & Subject Matter Expert (SME) Direction: Lead and mentor a team of curriculum developers, instructional designers, and domain-specific SMEs; partner with external industry practitioners to co-create specialized modules.
• Corporate & Academic Alliances: Collaborate with corporate partners, industry leaders, and technology ecosystem vendors to align curriculum standards with real-world enterprise tools and certification requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 8–12+ years of experience in higher education, corporate training, or EdTech curriculum design, with at least 3+ years in a leadership/head of R&D or academic product management role.
• Domain Exposure: Strong background or familiar oversight in technology and enterprise learning (e.g., Data Analytics, AI/ML, ERP systems, Software Development, or modern Business Management).
• Pedagogical Mastery: Deep knowledge of modern instructional design models, outcome-based education (OBE), experiential learning, and digital/hybrid learning architectures.
• Research & Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to track industry shifts, conduct competitive intelligence in the EdTech space, and translate data into structured course frameworks.
• Leadership: Exceptional team leadership, project management, and strategic execution skills; adept at managing cross-functional teams of instructional designers, tech developers, and SMEs.
• Regional Insight: Familiarity with the education and corporate skilling landscapes in India and/or the UAE/GCC is a strong plus.
