Job summary

Red Dream Ventures in India (Kolkata with travel) seeks a Practice Head for AI, Edge AI & Robotics to lead curriculum design and the trainer network across centers. You will shape the skilling framework and hands-on labs while scaling nationwide.

You will build a high-impact, multi-site delivery team, set quality standards, and collaborate with industry partners to ensure market-relevant outcomes. Reports to the CEO; leadership role requires deep AI/robotics expertise and travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in Cloud AI, Edge AI, ML, or Computer Vision.
• Up-to-date fluency with Gen AI, LLMs, and agentic systems.
• Active professional AI/Robotics network for hiring/partnerships.
• Willingness to travel to multiple centers across India.

Responsibilities

• Design and update the market-oriented skilling framework across AI capabilities and tracks (Edge AI, Computer Vision, Gen AI, etc.).
• Build and mentor a distributed team of instructors, developing leaders who mentor projects.
• Set and audit delivery quality standards for a consistent learner experience across centers.
• Advise on GPU-based lab infrastructure and setup for new centers as we scale.
• Define the technical hiring bar and oversee trainer selection across centers.
• Source real-world project briefs and incubation/hiring partners through industry networks.
• Represent the company's technical credibility with industry and academic audiences.

Job Title: Practice Head AI, Edge AI & Robotics

Location: India (Kolkata with travel) | Reports to: CEO | Type: Full-time, Leadership role

About the Role

We're building a nationwide chain of AI & Robotics Skilling Centers and Makers Labs across India, with a "Skilling to Incubating" model that takes learners from structured training into hands-on prototyping and, eventually, incubation. We're looking for a Subject Matter Expert to own the technical and academic backbone of this network: design what the learners get skilled in, build the team that provides the skilling, and keep both current as the field moves.

Core Responsibilities Curriculum & Content

• Design and continuously update the market-oriented skilling framework (classroom + hybrid + mentored Makers Lab projects) across our capability areas: Edge AI Applications, Computer Vision, Multi-modal AI, Agentic AI, Cloud-based AI, and Gen AI & LLMs, plus vertical tracks for Enterprise AI and AI for Professionals.
• Build the parallel Robotics curriculum: AI programming for robotic arms, mechanical and hardware design fundamentals, and industry specific requirements.
• Own curriculum currency. As this is a fast-moving field, and course content, tooling, and project briefs need to be revisited on a standing cadence, not a one-time build.

Team & Delivery Leadership

• Define the technical hiring bar and lead evaluation, selection of trainers across all centers.
• Build and mentor a distributed team of instructors, developing them into effective leaders who hand hold candidates through mentored projects rather than deliver lecture-only content.
• Set and audit delivery quality standards across the network so a candidate's experience is consistent across the centers.
• Advise on GPU-based lab infrastructure and technical setup requirements for new centers as we scale.

Industry & Incubation

• Design joint incubator projects and rapid-prototyping exercises with industry partners, keeping Makers Lab work tied to live market demand.
• Use your industry network to source real-world project briefs, guest expertise, and potential incubation or hiring partners for top learners.
• Represent the company's technical credibility with industry and academic audiences.

Requirements Must-have

• 5+ years of industry experience in one or more of: Cloud AI, Edge AI, Machine Learning, or Computer Vision, with hands-on depth, not just managerial exposure.
• Demonstrated up-to-date technical fluency, comfortable evaluating and teaching current tooling in Gen AI, LLMs and agentic systems, not just foundational ML.
• An active professional network in AI and Robotics that can be leveraged for hiring, partnerships, or project sourcing.
• Comfort with a multi-site leadership role: this person sets standards centrally and travels regularly to centers to enforce and refine them.

Nice-to-have

• Prior teaching, curriculum design, or corporate training experience.
• Robotics-specific expertise (mechanical or hardware design, robotic arm programming) in addition to the AI stack.
• Experience with physical AI or Robotics lab infrastructure GPU-based labs, deployment, and testing setups.
