Job summary

M2P Fintech in Chennai is seeking a Head of Platform Engineering to lead the consolidation of internal platforms into a single, scalable offering. You will own the end-to-end technical roadmap for authentication, orchestration, data and model serving, and observability.

You will build and lead the platform, ML engineering, and DevOps teams, enforce contracts with product squads, and shape a commercialization path for a future external marketplace.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in AI platform or AI/ML leadership roles at B2B SaaS companies.
• Led build or consolidation of a B2B AI/ML platform at scale with ownership of architecture (orchestration, data, model serving, observability).
• Deep production-grade AI/ML experience in shipping pipelines and serving models in enterprise environments.
• Experience navigating a platform transition, re-architecting tools for external delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the Unified Platform: lead end-to-end delivery of the unified platform roadmap (authentication services, orchestration engine, data platform, analytics, model serving, observability).
• Enforce the Platform Contract: define standards that internal product teams must ship against to accelerate delivery.
• Architect for Commercialization: steer architecture for external delivery and lay groundwork for a future marketplace.

About the role:

Our company has built a significant internal platform engineering layer to unify tooling and infrastructure, alongside a production-grade AI platform with its own orchestration and model serving capabilities. The next strategic step is to consolidate these into a single, unified platform that standardizes how every product is built and delivered internally. We need a leader to own this consolidation, drive the technical roadmap, and build a scalable, commercial-grade platform that will eventually be offered to external customers.

What will you do:

• Own the Unified Platform: Lead the end-to-end delivery of the unified platform roadmap, including authentication services, orchestration engine, data platform, analytics layer, model serving infrastructure, and a single observability layer.

• Enforce the Platform Contract: Define and enforce the standards and contracts that all internal product teams will build against, ensuring no team reinvents foundational capabilities and all products ship faster.

• Architect for Commercialization: As the platform matures, own the architecture for external delivery. Lay the groundwork for a future marketplace model and represent the platform in customer-facing technical conversations.

• Lead the Platform Organization: Lead the platform engineering, ML engineering, and infrastructure/DevOps teams. Build a high-performance culture where technical excellence and delivery speed are prioritized.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

• 15+ years of experience with a significant portion in AI platform or AI/ML engineering leadership roles at B2B product or SaaS companies.

• Has personally led the build or consolidation of a B2B AI/ML platform at scale, with hands-on ownership of the platform architecture (orchestration, data, model serving, observability).

• Deep production-grade AI and ML experience, with a focus on shipping ML pipelines and model serving infrastructure in real enterprise environments.

• Experience navigating a significant platform transition, such as a product becoming a platform or an internal tool being re-architected for external delivery.

• Hands-on technical credibility with the ability to solve complex problems alongside the team. Authority comes from depth, not title.
