Job summary

M2P Fintech, a Chennai-based banking technology platform, seeks a Vice President to lead and deliver enterprise AI/ML solutions. You will own client commitments, drive the data science team, and coordinate with platform engineers to ensure scalable, production-grade deployments.

You will translate business needs into data science initiatives, mentor teams, and maintain high customer satisfaction across deployments.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of data science or ML experience with leadership in enterprise delivery.
• Proven ability to ship AI-native products to external enterprise customers.

About this role

Our enterprise ML practice is active and growing, with live deployments across multiple customers. As our platform capabilities expand, we need a dedicated leader to own the delivery of these client-facing AI and ML solutions. This leader will ensure the successful execution of current commitments while identifying new opportunities to apply data science to solve critical business problems for our clients, working in close partnership with the AI/ML platform team.

What will you do in this role

• Own Customer AI/ML Delivery: Take complete ownership of existing enterprise AI and ML customer commitments, ensuring zero disruption to live deployments and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Lead the Data Science Team: Lead and scale the data science and applied ML organization. Foster a culture of innovation, practical application, and business impact.

• Drive Business Solutions: Work directly with enterprise customers and internal product teams to translate business needs into data science projects. Oversee the entire lifecycle from problem definition and model development to deployment and iteration.

• Collaborate on Platform Needs: Act as a key stakeholder and primary internal customer to the AI/ML Platform Engineering team, providing critical feedback and requirements to ensure the platform meets the needs of the data science delivery function.

• Represent AI/ML Capabilities: Serve as a subject matter expert in customer-facing conversations, articulating the value and application of our AI/ML solutions.

What You'll Need to be successful in this Role

• 15+ years of experience in data science or ML, with a meaningful portion in a leadership capacity focused on enterprise solution delivery.

• Deep production-grade AI and ML experience with a proven track record of shipping AI-native products and data science solutions to external enterprise customers.

• Experience leading client-facing data science or applied ML teams. Strong ability to manage project delivery, timelines, and stakeholder expectations under competing priorities.

• Proven ability to translate complex business problems into concrete data science initiatives that drive commercial value.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor data scientists and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical executives.
