Job summary

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of relevant overall experience.
• Prior teaching experience in an engineering college/university.
• Significant experience in Training & Placement / Corporate Relations / Campus Recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Training & Placement function for B.Tech/CSE and allied engineering programs.
• Develop and execute annual placement and employability strategies aligned with industry hiring requirements.
• Build and manage relationships with MNCs, IT services, product companies, core engineering organizations, startups, and other recruiters.
• Drive large-scale campus recruitment initiatives, including recruiter onboarding, job drives, assessments, interviews, offers, internships, and PPOs.
• Design and oversee student employability programs covering aptitude, coding/technical skills, communication, GDs, interviews, and industry readiness.
• Use prior teaching experience to identify student skill gaps and strengthen placement preparedness.
• Partner with HODs, faculty, and academic leadership to align curriculum, training, and industry expectations.
• Lead and mentor the Training & Placement team, establish operating processes, and ensure execution against annual goals.
• Maintain placement dashboards and provide data-driven reports and insights to university leadership.
• Represent the university in corporate meetings, HR forums, industry events, and employer networking initiatives

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Training & Placement Head to lead the university’s training and placement function for B.Tech students. The ideal candidate will combine a strong academic/teaching background with proven experience in managing large-scale placements for batches of 500–1,500+ engineering students.

Key Responsibilities

Mandatory Qualification

• B.Tech / B.E. + M.Tech / M.E. in CSE or Allied Subjects
• Ph.D. in CSE / Computer Science / relevant Allied Engineering discipline – Mandatory

Experience

• 7–12 years of relevant overall experience.
• Prior teaching experience in an engineering college/university.
• Significant experience in Training & Placement / Corporate Relations / Campus Recruitment.
• Proven experience managing placement activities for B.Tech batches of 500–1,500+ students.
• Strong understanding of the engineering campus recruitment ecosystem and established corporate/HR relationships.
