Three Across seeks a Head of Operations for its India factory near Manesar to lead end-to-end manufacturing, build an export-ready operation, and foster a high-performing culture. You will partner with CXOs to roadmap the shift of production from overseas facilities to India, leveraging ERP, dashboards, and shop-floor digital practices.

The role requires extensive experience in engineering manufacturing, strong leadership, and a track record of scaling operations in export-oriented environments.

Our client is a leading, established manufacturer of industrial tools, with a legacy built on engineering expertise and reliable performance. As part of a phased manufacturing strategy, the company is expanding production at its new factory near Manesar, in the National Capital Region, an important step in strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and supporting its long-term

Role Purpose

The Head of Operations, India will lead the India factory end to end. This person will build a strong, export-ready manufacturing operation and a high-performing, positive work culture. Working with the CXOs, they will shape and deliver the transition of manufacturing from an overseas facility to India.

Functions Reporting to This Role

• Manufacturing and assembly
• Supply chain, procurement and sourcing
• Maintenance, EHS and facilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day factory operations with a focus on safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery.
• Drive operational excellence through clear systems, SOPs and KPIs.
• Build and develop a strong leadership team across all reporting functions.
• Create a high-performing, respectful and accountable culture on the shop floor.
• Build and grow a reliable supplier base, including suppliers in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
• Work with the CXO and key stakeholders on the roadmap to transfer manufacturing from an overseas facility to India.
• Use technology to improve how the factory runs, including ERP, digital dashboards and shop floor data.
• Work closely with international teams and act as a trusted link between India and global head office.

First Year Goals

• Build a dependable supplier base from tier 2 and tier 3 Indian cities, along with the Purchase Head.
• Set up, with the CXO and key stakeholders, the roadmap to transition more manufacturing from an overseas facility to India.

You Must Have

• 18 to 22 years of experience in engineering manufacturing.
• Experience in an export-oriented engineering manufacturing unit.
• Engineering degree from a top-tier engineering college.
• Broad understanding of all factory functions, not only production.
• Comfort with technology, including MS Office and productivity tools; ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Business Central); CNC / VMC machining and automation; dashboards and digital shop floor practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Strong Plus

• Experience moving manufacturing from an overseas plant to India.
• Hands-on experience delivering greenfield or brownfield projects.
• Proven track record of finding and developing suppliers in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
