A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Head of Diagnostic Systems, you will establish and lead a newly created department responsible for developing and delivering diagnostic software solutions that support Siemens Energy's global fleet applications. Your day will involve engaging with engineering teams across India and Denmark, enabling Agile transformation, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology roadmaps.
You will mentor highly skilled software professionals, foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and oversee the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable diagnostic solutions. By collaborating closely with global stakeholders and Agile Release Trains, you will drive technical excellence while ensuring teams operate efficiently and deliver value to customers.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Establish and lead the newly formed Diagnostic Systems department, creating a high-performing and collaborative engineering organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of highly qualified software professionals while supporting career growth and development programs.
- Manage departmental operations, workforce planning, resource allocation, performance management, and talent development across teams in India and Denmark.
- Foster an inclusive culture focused on innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
- Champion Agile values and cultivate a relentless continuous improvement mindset throughout the department.
- Coach and educate teams on Agile methodologies including SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Flow, and Built-in Quality practices.
Diagnostic Systems Engineering & Product Delivery (30%)
- Support the definition and execution of the Vibration Diagnostic product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business priorities.
- Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy standards, policies, engineering processes, and governance requirements.
- Drive the adoption of modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies, data analytics, and digital product development methodologies.
- Enable high-performing Agile Release Trains that consistently deliver customer value and business outcomes.
- Promote engineering excellence through quality assurance, automation, and continuous delivery practices.
Strategic Stakeholder & Cross-Regional Collaboration (30%)
- Collaborate with global leaders across Digital Products & Solutions (DPS) to align diagnostic software initiatives with broader business objectives.
- Manage interfaces and coordination between engineering organizations in India and Denmark to ensure successful delivery and integration.
- Build strong partnerships with product management, architecture, business stakeholders, and engineering leaders.
- Facilitate strategic discussions, roadmap reviews, and portfolio planning activities.
- Drive alignment across teams, functions, and regions to support long-term growth and innovation objectives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10–12 years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of delivering complex software products.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading software development teams, engineering organizations, or product delivery groups.
- Proven experience managing software development for industrial diagnostic systems, monitoring platforms, or large-scale fleet management applications.
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies and digital product engineering.
- Experience leading global, cross-functional, and multicultural teams.
- Demonstrated success in Agile transformation, organizational leadership, and strategic execution.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, coaching, and leadership capabilities.

The newly established Diagnostic Systems department will play a critical role in advancing diagnostic capabilities, improving operational reliability, and supporting data-driven decision-making through innovative software solutions.
