Siemens Gamesa is offering a Software Test Automation Intern position in Bengaluru. You will gain hands-on experience in Python-based automated testing, BDD with Behave, and regression testing on real-world engineering projects.

You will work with developers and senior test engineers, design and maintain automation scripts, and contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement in a global DevOps environment.

• Final-year bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering.
• Strong programming fundamentals and interest in software testing.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As Software Test Automation Intern this role provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in software test automation, Python, Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD), and automated functional and regression testing while working on real‑world engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, an interest in software quality and automation, and a willingness to learn and work collaboratively with developers and senior test engineers.

What You Bring

• Programming: Python 3.x
• Test Automation: Selenium and automated functional and regression testing
• BDD: Understanding of BDD and Behave framework
• Software Fundamentals: OOP, Data Structures & Algorithms
• Developer Tools: Git, GitHub, VS Code, Docker
• APIs & Debugging: REST APIs, debugging and troubleshooting
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of Python fundamentals
• Interest in software testing and automation
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and debugging
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Knowledge of C++ or Ruby is an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of Ruby
• Exposure to software development or test automation projects
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts

Education

Candidates should be pursuing the final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science & engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
