Job summary

Weekday AI (YC W21) is seeking a Head of AI / AI Subject Matter Expert to lead and shape the AI portfolio for a Japanese fintech product company in Bengaluru. This role blends strategy with hands-on execution and high-stakes advisory to senior stakeholders.

You will drive AI-led transformation, mentor a team, and collaborate with business, product, and technology teams to identify and execute high-impact opportunities. 12+ years in AI/ML consulting and experience with top firms are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall experience with significant AI/ML and consulting
• Experience from leading consulting firms such as BCG, Bain, McKinsey, or Accenture is preferred
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
• Proven experience in leading AI portfolios and teams
• Strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability
• Experience in fintech, banking, NBFC, or financial services is a plus

• Lead the AI portfolio and strategy, driving AI-led transformation and innovation

What We're Looking For:

• 12+ years of overall experience, with significant experience in AI/ML and consulting
• Experience from leading consulting firms such as BCG, Bain, McKinsey, or Accenture is preferred
• BTech or MTech from a top institute
• Strong experience in customer-facing, consulting, and stakeholder management roles
• Proven experience in leading AI portfolios/initiatives and teams
• Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to remain technically hands-on
• Experience in fintech, banking, NBFC, or financial services would be an advantage
