Job summary

Citadel Health in Kolkata seeks a Nursing Director to establish, direct and oversee Nursing Services across the hospital, developing care delivery systems, policies and protocols for safe, compassionate patient care.

The role leads the nursing team, oversees manpower planning, deployment and performance management, ensuring high-quality care in coordination with medical and other clinical departments. A strong focus on clinical excellence and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a B.Sc. Nursing with 17+ years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in a nursing leadership role in NABH/JCI-accredited multispecialty hospital.
• Experience in building high-performing nursing teams through a structured, competency-based development framework.
• Experience in hospital commissioning or expansion projects is an added advantage.

Role & responsibilities

The Position Holder shall be responsible for establishing, directing and overseeing Nursing Services across the hospital, with the authority to develop and implement nursing care delivery systems, policies, standards and protocols to ensure safe, compassionate and high-quality patient care.

The incumbent shall lead and manage the nursing team, including manpower planning, deployment, competency development, performance management and adherence to nursing quality and patient safety standards.

The role shall be accountable for the overall effectiveness of Nursing Services, building a high-performing nursing team and fostering a culture of clinical excellence, accountability and continuous improvement, in coordination with the medical and other clinical departments.

Preferred candidate profile :

B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 17 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in a nursing leadership role in a reputed NABH/JCI-accredited multispecialty hospital.

The candidate should have demonstrated experience in building and developing high-performing nursing teams through a structured, competency-based nursing development framework, including competency assessment, training and professional development.

Experience in hospital commissioning or expansion projects will be an added advantage.
