We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Deputy Nursing Superintendent (DNS) to oversee nursing operations, ensure quality patient care, manage nursing staff, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage day-to-day nursing operations across assigned departments.
- Coordinate and monitor the performance of nursing staff.
- Prepare and manage nursing duty rosters and staff deployment.
- Ensure adequate staffing and proper allocation of nursing personnel.
- Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, hygiene, and infection control.
- Monitor nursing documentation, records, and reports.
- Conduct regular rounds and ensure adherence to nursing protocols and hospital policies.
- Handle nursing staff concerns, discipline, attendance, and performance issues.
- Coordinate with doctors, hospital administration, and other departments for smooth patient care.
- Assist in recruitment, induction, training, and development of nursing staff.
- Conduct training programs and ensure continuous professional development of nurses.
- Ensure proper availability and utilization of nursing supplies and equipment.
- Monitor compliance with NABH standards and other applicable hospital quality and safety requirements.
- Investigate and report incidents, complaints, and adverse events related to nursing services.
- Support the Nursing Superintendent in planning, implementing, and improving nursing services.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and appropriate nursing support during critical situations.
Required Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration as per applicable regulations.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably with supervisory/administrative experience in a hospital.
- Experience in a multi-specialty hospital will be preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing administration, patient safety, infection control, and quality standards.
