The role requires directing nursing teams, maintaining standards, supervising nursing officers, and driving accreditation and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree with valid registration.
• Experience in hospital administration or nursing leadership.
• Strong policy and protocol knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee nursing services across all assigned departments.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Plan nursing manpower requirements, staffing, and workforce deployment.
• Monitor nursing duty rosters, shift allocation, and staffing adequacy.
• Supervise nursing officers, nursing supervisors, and senior nursing personnel.
• Ensure delivery of safe, compassionate, and patient-centred nursing care.
• Monitor compliance with nursing protocols, SOPs, and clinical guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to medication administration and patient safety practices.
• Coordinate with doctors and clinical departments regarding patient care requirements.
• Monitor infection prevention and control practices across nursing areas.
• Review nursing quality indicators, incidents, complaints, and clinical outcomes.
• Lead corrective and preventive action for identified nursing-related gaps.
• Support accreditation, clinical audits, inspections, and quality improvement activities.
• Develop and coordinate nursing orientation, training, and competency programs.
• Monitor nursing documentation, handovers, and clinical record standards.
• Ensure availability and proper utilization of nursing equipment and supplies.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and critical incident management.
• Address escalated patient and attendant concerns related to nursing services.
• Conduct nursing meetings and communicate organizational priorities to nursing teams.
