Job summary

Gujarat Metal Cast Industries in Gujarat state is seeking a seasoned Metallurgy professional to lead material analysis, investigate failures, and optimize casting processes across our foundry operations. The candidate will drive R&D on new alloys, ensure adherence to APQP/PPAP quality systems, and provide technical support to production teams and clients, leveraging 8–15 years in investment casting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8-15 years in Investment Casting / Foundry, including NPD.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, casting processes, APQP, PPAP, root cause analysis, and quality systems.
• Excellent leadership, customer handling, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities:

• Material Analysis: Analyzing the properties and performance of metals and alloys, including microscopic, chemical, and physical testing.
• Failure Analysis: Investigating and analyzing the causes of metal failures, providing insights for improvement and prevention.
• Process Optimization: Collaborating with production teams to optimize metal manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
• Research and Development: Developing new metal materials and alloys, and researching new technologies for metal processing.
• Quality Control: Ensuring that metals meet industry standards and safety regulations, conducting quality control procedures.
• Technical Support: Providing technical advice and support on metallurgical issues to various teams and clients.
• Documentation: Preparing detailed reports and documentation of findings, recommendations, and process improvements.

Preferred candidate profile:
