Job summary

Nido Machineries is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design lead to own the mechanical architecture, structures, drives, and material selection across programs. You will drive standards, tolerances, BOM release, and change discipline while coordinating with systems, validation, procurement, and supplier quality teams.

The role requires senior expertise in design fundamentals, GD&T, DFM/DFA, localisation, and field-failure resolution, with strong CAD/PLM/PDM background.

Qualifications

• 15+ years mechanical design/product engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical architecture, mechanisms, structures, frames, shafts, bearings, mechanical drives and material selection.
• Own detailed mechanical design standards, calculations, tolerances, drawings, BOM release quality and engineering change discipline.
• Lead DFM/DFA, VA/VE, localisation and sustaining/product engineering.
• Partner with Systems Engineering on requirements and interfaces; partner with R&V on validation plans and failures.
• Partner with Procurement/Supplier Quality on manufacturability, supplier capability and technical qualification.
• Own technical root-cause for mechanical field failures and permanent corrective action.
• Build mechanical design review, peer review and knowledge-management practices.
