Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and business requirements.
• Ensure cost-effective procurement of raw materials, chemicals, consumables, engineering items, and services while maintaining quality standards.
• Lead sourcing initiatives for domestic and international procurement requirements.
• Identify alternate sources and develop supply risk mitigation strategies.

Vendor Management & Contracting

• Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers and business partners.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract finalization to achieve cost savings and favourable business terms.
• Evaluate vendor performance and implement supplier development programs.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.

Market Intelligence & Cost Optimization

• Track market trends, pricing dynamics, and availability of key raw materials and chemicals.
• Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Drive value engineering and strategic procurement initiatives to enhance competitiveness.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

• Ensure timely availability of critical raw materials and chemicals to support uninterrupted plant operations.
• Optimize inventory levels and working capital through effective planning and coordination.
• Monitor material movement, warehousing, and logistics processes.

Process Excellence & Digitalization

• Lead procurement transformation initiatives and process improvement programs.
• Strengthen procurement systems, controls, and governance.
• Ensure effective utilization of SAP/SRM and other digital procurement tools.
• Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports and MIS.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the procurement and material management team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Develop team capabilities through training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
