Michael Page is seeking a seasoned Head of International Purchase for the India operations, based in Gurugram. You will lead global sourcing and export procurement for manufacturing across international markets, guiding RFQ processes, negotiations, and supplier onboarding.

You will manage a large procurement team, collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and finance, and drive cost optimisation, supplier development, and risk mitigation across geographies.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline; post-graduate qualification advantageous.
• 20+ years of experience within Automotive/Equivalent OEM/Industrial Manufacturing or related sectors.
• Proven track record in Direct Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Global Purchasing, or International Supplier Development.
• Strong understanding of Manufacturing Processes including Fabrication, Machining, Sheet Metal, Castings, Forgings, Welding, Heat Treatment, and Assembly Operations.
• Deep expertise in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Commercial Negotiations, Cost Management, and Contract Administration.
• Exposure to International Trade, Cross-Border Sourcing, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.
• Demonstrated ability to influence global stakeholders and operate within complex matrix organisations.
• Experience working with ERP and Procurement Platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute international sourcing strategies aligned with global procurement objectives.
• Identify and deliver cost optimisation opportunities through strategic supplier engagement and global sourcing initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier identification, RFQ management, commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and contract execution.
• Build and strengthen an export-ready supplier ecosystem capable of supporting global manufacturing requirements.
• Drive supplier industrialisation, capacity planning, quality readiness, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Partner with global stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, supply chain, and finance functions.
• Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability metrics while implementing continuous improvement programmes.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and mitigate supply chain, compliance, and operational risks.
• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement and sourcing team while influencing cross-functional stakeholders across geographies.
