Job summary

Best Group in Gurugram is seeking a Head of Human Resources & Administration to lead HR and administration across manufacturing units. This full-time, on-site role requires shaping strategy, strengthening employee engagement, ensuring compliance, and driving organizational transformation.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years of HR leadership experience in manufacturing, strong IR and labor law knowledge, HRIS experience, and a proven ability to build leadership pipelines and culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Group's people strategy aligned with business goals (current and future).
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team, and Business Unit Heads.
  • Build leadership pipelines and succession plans for critical positions across the Group.
  • Identify and plan future talent requirements to support business growth and expansion.
  • Partner with leaders across all business units to align objectives with people strategy.
  • Drive productivity, capability building, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support organizational restructuring, transformation initiatives, and growth projects.
  • Oversee plant administration, safety culture, audits, and gemba observations.
  • Digitise HR & allied functions and drive HR policy development and execution.
  • Establish HR analytics and people dashboards; drive decision making with data.

Role Description

The Head - Human Resources & Administration is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram.

As a head of the HR & admin functions, your role involves leading HR initiatives and overseeing all aspects of human resource practices and processes, including developing strategies to enhance employee engagement, streamlining HR operations, and ensuring all compliances.

Responsibilities also include overseeing development of Talent, HR transformation initiatives, L&D initiatives, Leading Plant administration, Digitising HR & allied functions, and driving the development and execution of HR policies to support the organization's strategic goals.

Apart from HR, the role involves having a strong administration function control by planning the working at manufacturing business units, regular audits, gemba observations and ensuring safe and congenial working for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Human Capital Leadership
  • Develop and execute the Group's people strategy aligned with business goals (current and future).
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team, and Business Unit Heads.
  • Build leadership pipelines and succession plans for critical positions across the Group.
  • Identify and plan future talent requirements to support business growth and expansion.
HR Business Partnership
  • Partner closely with leaders across all business units and all manufacturing locations to ensure seamless alignment between business objectives and people strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to drive productivity, capability building, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support organizational restructuring, transformation initiatives, and growth projects.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Lead talent acquisition planning across all levels, from shop-floor talent to senior leadership and building a robust strategy for the same.
  • Build robust workforce planning models and future talent pipelines.
  • Develop employer branding strategies to attract top talent in highly competitive sectors.
Compensation, Benefits & Performance Management
  • Design and oversee competitive compensation and benefits frameworks.
  • Craft and drive performance management systems that reward merit, accountability, and results using PQCDSM framework.
  • Use analytics and benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.

The ideal candidate must have significant experience leading HR & administration functions in manufacturing businesses and should possess strong expertise in:

  • Plant training centres for future ready workforce
Facilities & Administration
  • Oversee facilities preparedness and administration across locations.

  • Drive continuous improvement in workplace experience, safety, and operational effectiveness.
Organizational Development & Culture
  • Build a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Design leadership development and learning initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention through measurable interventions.
  • Hands on experience in implementation of HRIS
  • Establish robust HR analytics and people dashboards.
  • Drive decision-making through metrics, facts, and operational data.
  • Track and improve key indicators including productivity, retention, engagement, absenteeism, hiring effectiveness, leadership readiness, and workforce capability.

  • Is highly execution-oriented and capable of translating strategy into action
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; additional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus
