Job description

The Head HR will be responsible for leading the hospital’s human resource function, including workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, policy implementation, performance management, training, and compliance. This requires strategic HR leadership, strong knowledge of healthcare staffing, labor compliance, and people management. The candidate will partner with management and department heads to build a productive, compliant, and employee‑focused work culture across the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall HR function including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and workforce planning.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and people management strategies for the hospital.
• Coordinate manpower planning with clinical, nursing, administrative, and support departments.
• Oversee recruitment for doctors, nurses, technicians, administrative staff, and support teams.
• Ensure smooth onboarding, induction, documentation, and orientation of new employees.
• Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution professionally.
• Monitor attendance, leave, payroll inputs, duty rosters, and HR compliance records.
• Implement performance management systems, appraisal processes, and employee development plans.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, hospital policies, and HR documentation standards.
• Coordinate training programs related to soft skills, compliance, service quality, and departmental needs.
• Support employee engagement, retention, motivation, and workplace culture initiatives.
• Advise senior management on HR risks, staffing gaps, policy matters, and organizational development.
• Maintain HR MIS reports, manpower dashboards, attrition analysis, and recruitment trackers.
• Coordinate with department heads to improve productivity, discipline, and team performance.
• Promote ethical practices, professional conduct, and a positive work environment across the hospital.
