Job summary

Adani Power in Raipur seeks a Health & Safety professional to drive HSE initiatives across levels. You will lead safety meetings, audits, and inspections, ensuring compliance and corrective actions, while developing robust health and safety plans as per legal guidelines.

The role requires overseeing fire prevention, conducting training, and maintaining monthly HSE MIS. You will also monitor contractor safety compliance and contribute to DISHA transformation efforts.

Qualifications

• Essential degree in science or engineering with safety focus.
• Engineering degree in Safety & Fire required/supported.
• Advanced diploma in Industrial Health & Safety mandatory or preferred.
• Desirable higher qualifications in Safety & Fire.

Responsibilities

• Drive Health & Safety initiatives across organisation levels.
• Conduct meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and follow up actions.
• Monitor plant activities for safe work procedures and safety standards compliance.
• Develop and execute health & safety plans per legal guidelines.
• Set KRAs for Site Health & Safety Team and track progress.
• Provide training and presentations on health, safety, and accident prevention.
• Prepare and submit Health & Safety MIS monthly.
• Review safety NCRs and ensure compliance.
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety legislatives and policies.
• Lead DISHA business transformation project.
• Assign and monitor fire prevention and firefighting duties.
• Oversee SMS implementation and contractor safety compliance.

Job description

• Drive Health & Safety Initiatives involving employees across levels within organisation
• Conducts Health & Safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
• Monitoring of all plant activities w.r.t. safe work procedures and compliance of Health & Safety Standards
• Develop and execute health and Health & Safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
• Fixation of objective based KRA’s of Site Health & Safety Team
• Conduct training and presentations for health and Health & Safety matters and accident prevention.
• Preparation and submission of Health & Safety MIS on monthly basis.
• Periodically review the Health & Safety audit NCRs and ensure its compliances.
• 100 % Compliances of Health & Safety related legislatives & Health & Safety Polices.
• Ensure Mock Drills are being conducted on regular basis.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to find cause and take prevention measures for further incidents.
• To implement & drive DISHA for Business transformation project.
• Supervising fire-fighting operations and fire prevention arrangements for fire protection of the plant & day to day operation
• Ensure optimum performance of shift duties for fire prevention, firefighting duties
• Health & Safety Management System (SMS) Implementation.
• Ensure compliance of Health & Safety norms by contractors and contract workers
• Business Excellence Initiatives i.e. “5S”, IMS etc.
• Creating a Health & Safety Culture
