Position Overview

The Finance Head will be responsible for overseeing the financial, legal, compliance, and strategic functions of the organization while driving innovation through process automation and team leadership. This comprehensive role encompasses accounting, audit, taxation, secretarial duties, compliance, banking, legal matters, and the management of a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Management

• Lead the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Drive cost optimization, profitability improvement, and financial risk management strategies.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports for stakeholders, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.

Accounting & Audit

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring adherence to standards (Ind AS, I-GAAP, etc.).
• Supervise internal and statutory audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
• Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.

Taxation

• Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws, including timely filing and payments.
• Devise and execute tax-efficient strategies within the bounds of regulatory compliance.
• Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities for assessments and litigation.

Compliance & Secretarial Functions

• Ensure adherence to corporate governance, statutory compliance, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Companies Act, FEMA regulations).
• Manage board meetings, minutes, resolutions, and secretarial filings.
• Proactively identify and address compliance risks.

Banking & Treasury Management

• Manage banking relationships, negotiate terms for credit facilities, and oversee fund management.
• Handle treasury operations, including investments, forex, and liquidity management.
• Optimize working capital management and monitor cash flows to ensure financial stability.

Legal Oversight

• Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to mitigate risk.
• Oversee litigation, disputes, and liaise with external legal counsel.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
