Position: Finance Controller / Finance Head

Experience: 10+ years (Post-qualification as a Chartered Accountant)

Reporting To: CEO / Managing Director

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Controller / Finance Head to lead and manage the entire finance function. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Chartered Accountant (CA) with over 10 years of post-qualification experience who can provide strong financial leadership, ensure compliance, drive operational efficiency, and contribute significantly to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting and Reporting

• Oversee all general accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with Indian GAAP/Ind AS and statutory requirements
• Manage timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit process with external auditors
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity

Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A

• Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with business teams
• Develop and implement financial forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management
• Perform financial modeling and business case analysis for strategic initiatives and capex decisions

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage working capital and optimize cash utilization
• Drive cash flow planning and forecasting strategies
• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and foreign exchange exposures

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations (Income Tax, GST, etc.)
• Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory filings
• Manage tax assessments, audits, and liaise with authorities/consultants

Financial Control & Risk Management

• Establish and enforce financial controls across business processes
• Monitor financial KPIs and identify cost optimization opportunities
• Assess and manage financial risks including credit, market, and operational risks

Qualifications & Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI
• 10+ years of post-qualification experience in a senior finance role
• Prior experience in manufacturing preferred (electronics/auto components/high-tech sectors is an advantage)
• Strong understanding of Indian GAAP/Ind AS, corporate finance, and tax regulations
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books) and advanced Excel
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Ability to think strategically and translate financial data into business insights
