One Sgg in Mumbai seeks a Lead Finance to steer corporate finance, accounting, treasury and FP&A to support rapid growth. You will manage capital raising, project financing for land development, and investor relations, ensuring governance and regulatory compliance with Ind AS and tax laws.

You will also lead budgeting, profitability analysis, and financial reporting, driving cost discipline and strategic financial planning across the organization.

Qualifications

• CA qualified with 10–12 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in Real Estate Development, Construction is preferred.
• Experience handling project finance, treasury, and real estate accounting is essential.

Role & responsibilities

The Lead Finance will lead the company's corporate finance, accounting, structured finance, treasury, and financial planning functions, ensuring the business has the capital, liquidity, and financial discipline required to support its growth strategy.

This role will be responsible for capital raising, capital structure optimization, project financing, treasury management, financial planning, and investor/lender relationships. The incumbent will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive strategic financial initiatives while ensuring strong governance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team in strategic planning, business expansion, and investment decisions.
• Drive financial discipline, profitability, and sustainable growth across projects.
• Establish and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Monitor project profitability, cash flows, and financial performance against budgets.
• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and financial insights for senior management.
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.

Structured Finance & Capital Raising

• Lead structuring and execution of debt, mezzanine, structured credit, and equity funding transactions.
• Develop project-specific financing structures for land acquisitions and development projects.
• Manage fundraising activities with banks, NBFCs, private credit funds, family offices, and institutional investors.
• Evaluate refinancing and capital recycling opportunities to optimize returns

Project Finance & Real Estate Accounting

• Oversee project-wise accounting, cost allocation, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis.
• Monitor construction budgets, project cash flows, and funding requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards relating to real estate transactions.
• Support land acquisitions, project feasibility studies, and financial due diligence.
• Monitor project-level IRR, profitability, and investment returns.
• Evaluate project feasibility, sensitivity analysis, and investment appraisals.

Treasury & Fund Management

• Manage working capital, liquidity planning, and cash flow optimization.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and NBFCs.
• Lead debt management, project financing, refinancing, and fund-raising initiatives.
• Optimize capital structure and borrowing costs.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and project accounting.
• Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and applicable financial regulations.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement in financial reporting processes.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure timely compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings, and other statutory requirements.
• Lead tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency.
• Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits while ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements impacting the business.
• Ensure compliance with RERA financial requirements, project-wise accounting, and project fund utilization norms.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting obligations.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

• Establish robust internal financial controls and compliance mechanisms.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and corporate governance standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Present financial reports and business performance to the Board and senior leadership.
• Coordinate with auditors, bankers, consultants, investors, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Support investor reporting, due diligence, and funding documentation.
