Qualifications

• Demonstrated curiosity, attention to detail, and strong written and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams across different time zones, with AI model usage.

Responsibilities

• Bid modeling and valuation for acquisitions, PPA/ESA origination, repowers, and BESS opportunities.
• Assist in pricing and structuring bids to target pre-tax IRR and NAV thresholds.
• Coordinate with EPC, Procurement, and Legal to validate assumptions and optimize site.
• Diligence support coordinating with Development & EPC to evaluate risk profiles.
• Conduct research on U.S. renewable markets, financing, equipment pricing, and new markets.
• Synthesize insights from public sources, utility proceedings, and internal databases.
• Contribute to battery strategy, competitive intelligence, and management reporting.
• Prepare investor presentations, marketing materials, and support offtake diligence.

We have acquired or developed approximately 13 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 85 renewable energy projects in 24 states. About the role

We are seeking an Analyst / Senior Analyst to join our Hyderabad office as part of the Strategy team. The Strategy team focuses on project acquisitions, PPA origination, market and corporate strategy, and capital raising. The team works closely across DESRI business units - including Finance, Development, EPC, Procurement, Legal, and FP&A to price risk and execute new opportunities that drive long-term NAV growth. The candidate will be a part of an inclusive, highly skilled team responsible for supporting DESRI’s portfolio of wind, solar, and storage projects within a dynamic environment that values collaboration, thoughtful problem solving, and attention to detail.

What you'll do

• Bid modeling and valuation for project acquisitions, PPA/ESA origination, repowers, and surplus BESS opportunities at any stage of the project life cycle.
• Assist in pricing and structuring bids targeting pre-tax IRR and minimum NAV thresholds.
• Coordinate with EPC, Procurement, and Legal to validate assumptions and optimize site.
• Diligence support coordinating with DESRI Development & EPC to evaluate project risk profiles.
• Conduct research on U.S. renewable markets covering financing markets, equipment pricing, competitor analysis, new markets, interconnection positions, and new technology.
• Synthesizing insights from public sources, utility proceedings, and internal databases.
• Contribute to battery strategy analysis, competitive intelligence, and management reporting on key market indicators.
• Prepare investor presentations, marketing materials, and support offtake diligence.

Qualifications

• Candidates holding MBA or relevant degree with 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, Strategy or consulting domain
• Strong financial modeling skills in Excel; ability to synthesize complex information into clear conclusions.
• Familiarity with renewable energy markets, PPA structures, and energy storage is preferred.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and strong written and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams across teams in different time zones.
• Strong familiarity with usage of various AI models to optimize financial models, research and development and due diligence
