Job Purpose
To lead and drive Business Excellence initiatives across the organization by implementing and sustaining methodologies such as TPM, WCM, TQM, Manufacturing Excellence, Six Sigma, QCC and 5S, with the objective of improving operational performance, employee participation, process efficiency and overall business profitability.
1. Key Responsibilities
A. IMS & Business Excellence Implementation
- Lead the implementation and continual improvement of Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
- Drive Business Excellence initiatives across manufacturing and functional areas.
- Establish systems, standards and practices to achieve operational excellence.
- Monitor implementation progress and ensure sustainability of improvement initiatives.
B. TPM / WCM Implementation
- Lead the implementation of TPM methodology and its 8 Pillars across the organization.
- Develop and implement TPM pillar modules and improvement roadmaps.
- Support teams in implementing TPM, WCM and other excellence initiatives on the shop floor.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate implementation maturity and identify improvement areas.
- Communicate TPM/WCM activities, progress and results to Top Management.
C. Continuous Improvement & Six Sigma
- Identify opportunities for process and operational improvement aligned with organizational goals.
- Drive Six Sigma, Quality Circle (QCC), Kaizen and TPM Circle initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-functional improvement projects.
- Promote sharing and cross-fertilization of best practices, ideas, knowledge and standards across business units.
D. Employee Engagement & Culture Building
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement, ownership and management excellence.
- Encourage employees at all levels to actively participate in improvement activities.
- Coach and mentor leaders and team members on Operational Excellence practices.
- Motivate employees to adopt positive attitudes and move away from traditional mindsets.
- Promote Total Employee Participation in Business Excellence initiatives.
E. Training & Capability Development
- Identify Training Needs (TNI) based on competency and performance gaps.
- Design and develop training modules related to TPM, WCM, Six Sigma and Business Excellence.
- Coordinate with the Training & Development function for implementation of training programs.
- Coordinate with external training agencies for functional training, workshops and seminars.
- Develop employee capability to improve equipment, process and functional competency.
F. Performance & Business Improvement
- Drive improvement in PQCDSME deliverables across the organization.
- Ensure Business Excellence initiatives contribute to measurable improvements in productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety and employee morale.
- Identify improvement opportunities and ensure timely execution of action plans.
- Track benefits and business impact of improvement projects.
G. Management Review & Governance
- Conduct regular reviews with Top Management on the progress of Business Excellence initiatives.
- Prepare and present performance reports, implementation status and improvement results.
- Coordinate with Business Unit Heads and Functional Heads to ensure timely achievement of organizational objectives.
- Establish appropriate performance metrics and review mechanisms for Business Excellence programs.
