Job summary

KIET Deemed to be University in Ghaziabad invites a Head of Alumni Engagement Cell to build and strengthen a dynamic alumni network. You will shape strategy, cultivate relationships across batches and industries, and translate alumni connections into student mentoring, internships, and placements.

The role requires 4–5 years in alumni relations within higher education, excellent communication, event management, and a proactive, mature stakeholder mindset.

Qualifications

• Graduate/postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Alumni Engagement Strategy.

• Leverage alumni networks for internships, placements, live projects and career opportunities.
• Identify distinguished alumni as mentors, ambassadors and industry collaborators.
• Collaborate with university units for alumni-led initiatives and scholarships.

Role Purpose:

The Head, Alumni Engagement Cell will be responsible for building and strengthening a strong,

active and mutually beneficial relationship between KIET and its alumni. The role will focus on converting alumni relationships into meaningful opportunities for student mentoring, internships, placements, industry connect, entrepreneurship and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Alumni Engagement Strategy.
• Build strong relationships with alumni across batches, programs, industries and geographies.
• Plan and execute Alumni Meets, reunions, guest lectures, webinars, mentoring sessions and networking events.
• Develop engaging initiatives such as Alumni Podcasts, Success Stories, newsletters and digital campaigns.
• Establish structured student–alumni mentoring and interaction programs.
• Leverage alumni networks for internships, placements, live projects, industry visits and career opportunities.
• Identify distinguished alumni and engage them as mentors, ambassadors, recruiters and industry collaborators.
• Develop alumni chapters, professional networks and regional engagement initiatives.
• Maintain an updated alumni database and track engagement, achievements and contributions.
• Collaborate with CRPC, academic departments, communications and other University units for alumni-led initiatives.
• Explore alumni contributions towards scholarships, innovation, entrepreneurship, research and institutional development.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Management, Communications, Public Relations, Education, Social Sciences or a relevant discipline.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in alumni relations or a similar role in a University/College.
• Demonstrated experience in alumni engagement, event management and stakeholder relationship building.
• Experience in mobilizing alumni for internships, placements, mentoring and industry engagement will be preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
