We are looking for a detail‑oriented and experienced Accountant to join our corporate office in Delhi. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Tally Prime and preferably have prior experience working in the logistics, transport, freight, or transportation industry.

The candidate will be responsible for day‑to‑day accounting, reconciliation, branch accounts, freight‑related transactions, payments, collections and maintaining accurate financial records across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day accounts and financial records in Tally Prime.
• Record and verify sales, purchase, freight, expenses, receipts and payments.
• Handle accounting related to transportation and freight operations.
• Maintain and reconcile branch accounts, including our delivery offices in Guwahati and Silchar.
• Track customer outstanding payments, collections and vendor/transport payments.
• Maintain ledgers for customers, transporters, agents, vendors and other parties.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash transactions and party ledgers regularly.
• Record and verify freight bills, lorry freight, loading/unloading labour charges, agency commissions and other logistics‑related expenses.
• Coordinate with operations and branch teams to ensure all transactions and expenses are properly recorded.
• Monitor pending payments and follow up with concerned staff/parties for necessary documentation.
• Prepare regular outstanding, payment, collection and expense reports for management.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices, bills, vouchers and supporting documents.
• Assist with GST, TDS and other statutory accounting requirements.
• Coordinate with the company's CA/tax consultant whenever required.
• Identify discrepancies or missing entries and ensure they are resolved promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of company financial information.
  

Must‑Have Skills

• Excellent working knowledge of Tally Prime – this is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Practical knowledge of logistics/transport accounting is highly preferred.
• Understanding of freight payments, transporter payments, agency commissions, labour expenses, customer collections and branch accounting.
• Good knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Ability to reconcile large numbers of transactions and identify discrepancies.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
  

Preferred Candidate

We are particularly looking for someone who:

• Has previously worked with a logistics, transport, freight forwarding or supply‑chain company.
• Is comfortable handling accounts involving multiple branches/offices.
• Understands how money actually moves through a logistics business — customer collections, freight expenses, transporter payments, branch expenses, commissions, labour charges and outstanding balances.
• Can work independently and take ownership of the company’s accounting function.
• Is comfortable coordinating with both the corporate office and branch/delivery offices.
