Job summary

Plugzmart's fast-scaling hardware innovation lab in Chennai specializes in embedded systems, IoT, and consumer electronics. We design, validate, and stress-test boards, sensors, and modules to meet reliability, compliance, and performance benchmarks before market release.

As part of the role, you will design test plans, operate lab equipment, run environmental and reliability tests, debug failures with design engineers, and script automated tests with Python, LabVIEW, or TestStand to accelerate

Qualifications

• Must-Have: oscilloscope, multimeter, thermal chamber, EMI/EMC testing; LabVIEW, Python scripting, and TestStand proficiency.
• Preferred: JTAG debugging, CAN bus analysis, and automated test frameworks (e.g., PyTest for hardware).

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and document test plans for embedded hardware boards, sensors, and IoT modules across functional, environmental, and reliability domains.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, thermal chambers, power analyzers, and automated test rigs.
• Run stress, soak, and edge-case tests under controlled and simulated real-world conditions (temperature, humidity, vibration, ESD).
• Isolate, log, and reproduce hardware failures; collaborate with design engineers to root-cause and validate fixes.
• Build and script automated test sequences using Python, LabVIEW, or TestStand to accelerate regression and validation cycles.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC, FCC, CE, RoHS) and generate certification-ready test reports.

Our engineers ensure every board, sensor, and module meets rigorous reliability, compliance, and performance benchmarks—before it ships to market. Think rugged field testing, thermal stress cycles, EMI/EMC validation, and automated test harnesses—all in a dynamic, hands-on engineering environment.
