HuntingCube in Gurugram, Haryana, India, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own end-to-end mechanical design and manufacturing engineering for high‑reliability products. You will create 3D models, drawings with GD&T, and support qualification and production activities.
The role demands deep hands-on CAD skills (Creo, SolidWorks, NX, CATIA), experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Hypermesh, Abaqus), and a background in aerospace/defense or safety‑critical systems.
The Senior Engineer (Mechanical) is a senior individual contributor responsible for owning the mechanical design and manufacturing engineering of assigned products end-to-end— from concept and analysis through detailed design, prototyping, qualification, and production support. The role requires deep technical judgment across precision mechanical design, structural/thermal/vibration analysis, sealing and ruggedization, and design-for-manufacture. The Senior Engineer will serve as the technical authority for the mechanical content of assigned products and mentor junior engineers.
Own the mechanical design of housings, enclosures, mounting and interface hardware, mechanisms, and structural components across sensors, the ignition exciter unit, the electro-hydraulic booster, and higher assemblies. Create 3D models and release‑quality manufacturing drawings with complete GD&T as per applicable drawing standards. Perform and review engineering analysis, including structural, modal/vibration, thermal, and fatigue (FEA), along with tolerance stack-ups and material/process selection. Design for harsh service environments, including vibration, mechanical shock, temperature extremes, altitude, EMI enclosure considerations, ingress/sealing, and corrosion protection. Contribute to hydraulic/fluid‑power design for the Electro‑Hydraulic Booster, including actuator body, seal design, servo‑valve integration, pressure containment, and force/stroke sizing. Drive DFM/DFA across machining, sheet metal, casting, potting/encapsulation, and final assembly. Plan and support qualification and acceptance testing as per applicable standards. Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective action on failures. Author technical documentation, including design and analysis reports, interface control documents, and BOMs, and support configuration management. Interface with electronics/electrical, manufacturing, quality/airworthiness agencies, suppliers, and customers. Mentor and technically review the work of Engineer I and Engineer II.
B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or any other relevant field. 6+ years of experience in aerospace/defense or safety‑critical systems and high‑reliability electro‑mechanical or electro‑magnetic product development, including leading or mentoring a team.
Technical depth with hands‑on design and mentorship experience. Problem‑solving and systems thinking. Regulatory/compliance mindset. Communication and stakeholder management. Strong CAD proficiency in Creo / SolidWorks / NX / CATIA and GD&T. Hands‑on FEA experience using ANSYS / Hypermesh / Abaqus or equivalent. Working knowledge of environmental and qualification standards: MIL‑STD‑810 JSS 55555 RTCA DO-160 (for avionics) MIL‑STD‑202 Sound grasp of materials, manufacturing processes, sealing, fasteners, and surface treatments. Strong knowledge of IMTAR21 V2.0 and IMAP 2023. Strong learning and reading skills for White Papers, Patents, IEEE and Research Papers.
