Job summary

ValueMomentum is seeking a passionate Guidewire Developer with hands-on experience in Guidewire InsuranceSuite, PolicyCenter, and related modules to design, build, and configure applications for our P&C insurance customers.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, proficiency in Gosu, Java, XML, XSLT, and integration with SOAP/REST APIs, plus familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and AI‑assisted development. This is a hybrid position based in Hyderabad, India, within our Core Engineering Center.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands‑on implementation experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite.
• Proficiency in Gosu, Java, XML, and XSLT.
• Experience with Guidewire Studio, Rules, Workflows, and Data Model.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI pair programming tools.
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts and their application in software development.
• Familiarity with SmartCOMM, GhostDraft, or similar document generation platforms.
• Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance, including commercial and personal lines.
• Experience with Agile tools like Jira and SVN.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Following are the day-to-day work activities:

• Design, develop, and configure Guidewire applications such as PolicyCenter.


• Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using SOAP/REST APIs.


• Write and debug code using Java, GOSU, and SQL.


• Leverage GitHub Copilot and Generative AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and enhance productivity.


• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure solution quality.


• Provide support for QA and production environments.


• Analyze and resolve complex software issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.


• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.


• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.


• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and management throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

The must have requirements are:

• 6+ years of hands‑on implementation experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite.


• Proficiency in Gosu, Java, XML, and XSLT.


• Experience with Guidewire Studio, Rules, Workflows, and Data Model.


• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or building internal GenAI tools.


• Knowledge of insurance domain and business processes.
