Job summary

ValueMomentum invites an experienced Guidewire SBT Specialist to lead the strategic implementation and enhancements of Standards-Based Templates within PolicyCenter for commercial insurance products across jurisdictions. The role drives regulatory alignment and scalable product delivery.

You will collaborate with product owners, actuarial teams, and engineering to configure SBTs, ensure quality, and support deployments while mentoring junior engineers in Guidewire best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, especially SBT modules, Rating and Product Model.
• Proficiency in GOSU scripting and Guidewire configuration tools.
• Strong understanding of insurance rating principles and actuarial collaboration.
• Experience with Guidewire Studio and configuration best practices.
• Experience Agile/Scrum Project Experience.
• Good conceptual, analytical, mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Engineer contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members.
• Configure and maintain Guidewire SBTs for commercial insurance products.
• Deep understanding of commercial P&C insurance products and workflows.
• Familiarity with ISO and AAIS standards and should convert them into Guidewire configurable solutions using Product Designer or APD.
• Collaborate with product owners and actuarial teams to align templates with business needs.
• Customize rating algorithms, forms, and rules based on state-specific requirements.
• Monitor regulatory updates and ensure timely template adjustments.
• Support testing, validation, and deployment of SBT configurations.
• Provide technical documentation and training to internal stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SBT performance and integration.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security practices, and documentation requirements.
• Support production deployments and post-release validation of rating changes.
• Remain current on new technologies, evaluate, and make recommendations as necessary.
• Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling.
• Mentor Software Engineers and help them enhance their skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities
