Qualifications

  • Hands-on in ERP, MS Office, and reporting tools.
  • Advanced understanding of Accounting Principles and US GAAP.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FP&A organization of 30+ professionals across MEA & APAC.

Group Leader – Business Unit FP&A
Job Summary

If you are an experienced Finance Leader, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Group Manager to work with our Global FP&A COE in Pune.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Leading a high-performing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization of 30+ professionals (including high performing and dynamic Team Leads), delivering strategic finance support across multiple Business Units in the MEA and Asia Pacific World Areas
  • Hiring, leading, and coaching the team, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Setting up and driving Business Unit Group level objectives within COE
  • Driving performance management, training & development of the team in line with organizational goals
  • Drive continuous process improvement culture within group
  • Conduct a comprehensive whitespace analysis of Business Unit (BU) support activities to identify any gaps, omissions, or inconsistencies in support coverage across specific BUs.
  • Driving operational excellence through the standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of FP&A processes, building scalable capabilities that support expanding business needs across MEA and Asia Pacific World Areas.
  • Lead the resolution of financial reporting and analysis escalations during month-end close, ensuring stakeholders receive accurate, timely, and decision-ready financial information while maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and control.
  • Supporting FP&A COE standardization and automation drive by collaborating with Techno Hub and Automation team and liaising with BU analysts and BU finance leaders
  • Own the planning, monitoring, and governance of the Group's cost budgets; act as the key liaison for Finance Leadership on questions related to charge per head out of COE; and partner with the Accounting team to facilitate accurate and timely invoicing and financial processing of services out of COE for the group.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Finance leader with minimum 15 year of work experience in FP&A Domain having proven skills of business partnering and leading people
  • Hands on experience in ERP, MS Office, and reporting tools
  • Strategic thinking ability and driving results with high collaboration standards
  • Self-starter, suggesting and implementing improvements to the processes.
  • Managing stakeholders, Situational adaptability, Manages complexities & Manages ambiguity.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, CMA or any other professional qualification in finance
  • Proven leadership skills of a dynamic group of professionals including Chartered accountants and CMA’s
  • Advanced understanding of Accounting Principles and US GAAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • System Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management
  • Power BI or related presentation tools
