Job summary

• CA qualification with 20–25 years in manufacturing accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own the corporate accounting across group companies, subsidiaries, and diverse business lines.
• Lead intercompany consolidation and balance group accounts, multi-entity ledgers.
• Direct the creation of high-quality Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow statements for audit readiness.
• Author meticulous Notes to Accounts with comprehensive disclosures for annual statements.
• Map, monitor, and report P&L at group, business, and unit levels.
• Maintain robust tax governance for Direct and Indirect taxes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor evolving corporate laws and accounting standards (IFRS/Ind AS).
• Act as primary liaison for auditors to ensure timely closures.

Reporting to CFO

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Accounting Leader from the manufacturing sector to oversee the comprehensive accounting operations across our entire corporate group who will manage the end-to-end accounting functions for multiple distinct business verticals and lead a large team of Accounts with 8- 10 head of accounts responsible for various business verticals. The candidate has to ensure institutional excellence by implementing market best practices, driving digital transformation through SAP S/4HANA, maintaining rigorous regulatory compliance, and delivering actionable financial intelligence to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Group Accounting & Multi-Business Consolidation

• Full Ownership: Direct the entire corporate accounting function across all group companies, subsidiaries, and diverse business lines.
• Financial Consolidation: Lead the complex consolidation of group accounts, intercompany transactions and balancing multi-entity ledgers.
• Best-Practice Financial Statements: Direct the team in formulating high-quality Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow records utilizing world-class accounting standards.
• Notes to Accounts: Author meticulous and disclosures-heavy 'Notes to Accounts' to provide transparent, audit-ready context for the annual financial statements.
• Profitability Mapping: Calculate, monitor, and report on Profit and Loss (P&L) metrics at the group, business, unit levels.

Taxation & Corporate Law Compliance

• Tax Governance: Maintain robust oversight and hands-on operational management of both Direct Taxes (Corporate Income Tax, Transfer Pricing) and Indirect Taxes (GST, regional levies).
• Regulatory Vigilance: Continuously monitor, interpret, and enforce updated corporate laws, statutory frameworks, and evolving accounting standards (e.g., IFRS / Ind AS).
• Audit Management: Act as the primary liaison for statutory, internal, and tax auditors to ensure clean, timely closure of Audit.

Tech Upgradation, MIS & Strategic Analytics

• SAP S/4HANA Leadership: Leverage advanced working knowledge of SAP HANA to optimize financial modules, automate workflows, and maintain data integrity.
• Executive Reporting: Responsible and Accountable in Designing comprehensive Management Information Systems (MIS), Reports, KPI dashboards, and analytics to the CFO/Directors.
• Innovation & Evolution: Actively identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging accounting trends, automation (RPA), and modern accounting methodologies.
• Artificial Intelligence: Identify opportunities and integrate AI into Accounting function / MIS / Balance sheet etc. and educate the team for efficient function functioning.
• Technology Upgradation: Being abreast of latest upgrade of SAP and other technology and upgrade internal system and process as per latest upgrade.

• Professional Certification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Industry Background: About 20–25 years of progressive accounting experience, with a background in the manufacturing industry.
• Leadership Depth: Proven track record in a senior or group-level role managing multi-business operations under executive leadership.
• ERP Mastery: Deep, practical working knowledge of SAP HANA (FICO and integrated manufacturing modules).
• Tax Expertise: Advanced understanding of direct/indirect tax compliance, filing, and structured tax planning.
• Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience managing multiple teams of large size.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex accounting data into strategic executive summaries.
