Job summary

Geofast Industries in India seeks a senior finance professional to oversee SAP governance, core accounting, and statutory compliance.

You will drive month-end closure, financial reporting under Ind AS, tax filings, audit liaison, and treasury management. 7–20 years in FMCG/healthcare manufacturing desired. CA/CMA or MBA Finance with strong Excel and SAP skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end closure in SAP and ensure timely books
• Manage ledger hygiene and inter-company reconciliations

• Assist with SEBI filings and annual reports
• Monitor costing, BOM variances, and inventory valuation
• Oversee GST, TDS, TCS, and direct/indirect tax filings
• Liaise with auditors and enforce internal controls (IFC)

Job description

Expanded Roles and Responsibilities:

1. SAP Governance & Core Accounting

• Month-End Closure: Lead the timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts in SAP.
• Ledger Hygiene: Review and reconcile general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and inter-company transactions to ensure error-free accounting.
• Module Integration: Coordinate with IT/SAP teams to troubleshoot or optimize accounting workflows between SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD).

2. Listed Company Compliances & Financial Reporting

• Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in strict compliance with Ind AS / Accounting Standards.
• SEBI & Listing Obligations: Assist the CFO in compiling financial data for quarterly board meetings and mandatory SEBI corporate filings.
• Annual Reports: Draft detailed schedules, notes to accounts, and management discussion inputs for the annual report.

3. FMCG Costing & Inventory Control

• Inventory Evaluation: Monitor raw material, packing material, and finished goods valuations across manufacturing units.
• Variance Analysis: Review bill of materials (BOM), standard vs. actual costing, and report production variances to management.
• Waste & Yield Analysis: Track manufacturing yields, material scrap rates, and overhead allocations.

4. Taxation & Statutory Compliances

• Direct & Indirect Tax: Oversee flawless calculation, deduction, and timely online filing of GST (GSTR-1, 3B, 9/9C), TDS, TCS, and Advance Income Tax.
• Tax Audit Preparation: Maintain flawless documentation for annual income tax returns, transfer pricing, and assessment representation.

5. Audit Management & Internal Controls

• Audit Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, and Tax Auditors to resolve queries promptly.
• Internal Financial Controls (IFC): Design and execute operational check-points within SAP to enforce robust financial controls and avoid leakages.

6. Treasury & Working Capital Management

• Cash Flow Tracking: Monitor daily cash/bank positions and prepare weekly rolling cash flow forecasts.
• Receivables & Payables: Manage vendor payment cycles and supervise the credit control team on distributor/retailer ageing analysis.

7. Team Mentorship

• Subordinate Supervision: Manage and train junior accountants, executive staff, and plant accountants to elevate execution standards.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost & Management Accountant (CMA/ICWA), or a regular MBA (Finance).
• Experience: 7 to 20 years of experience. Prior experience in an Aerosol Chemical, Beauty, or Healthcare Manufacturing
• Technical Skills: Heavy, hands‑on exposure to SAP systems and exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial modeling).
