Deputy Manager – Group Accounting & Reporting

Purpose of the Role

The Deputy Manager – Group Accounting & Reporting will take ownership of financial accounting, consolidation, review and reporting across all Group entities and transactions. The role manages accounting, control, reporting and audit processes to ensure sound financial metrics support key business decisions, and drives accounting and reporting improvement initiatives at Group level in partnership with IT, regional finance teams and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual Group financials, and ensure other finance-related projects are rolled out smoothly.
• Act as a liaison between Country Controllers and the Regional Finance Office.
• Prepare and support monthly/quarterly consolidated financial accounts for the Group accurately, on time and in compliance with IFRS.
• Assist in preparing monthly management reports using Power BI.
• Analyse financial information relating to assets, liabilities, capital, revenue and expenditure, including detailed analysis of Group working capital and inventory.
• Support interim and year-end Group audits, coordinating at business-unit level and helping identify and resolve complex audit items with Group auditors.
• Prepare detailed accounting memos on various matters for management and auditors.
• Contribute to corporate and global accounting/reporting improvement projects across functions.
• Manage assigned finance projects end-to-end — planning, directing, and monitoring progress with IT, regional stakeholders and other functions.
• Manage expectations and deliverables across stakeholders and consultants.
• Handle and control SAP and Tagetik GL management.
• Support the development of global finance policies and procedures, and assist in preparing finance training materials.

What We’re Looking For

• Accountancy degree with CA, ACCA or CPA qualification; Chartered Accountant preferred.
• Strong knowledge and practical understanding of IFRS and accounting standards.
• Experience handling audits, including preparation of detailed accounting memos for auditors.
• Expertise in consolidation accounting, with experience in tools such as Hyperion, Tagetik or similar.
• Working knowledge of SAP FICO reports.
• Experience managing global projects with stakeholders across geographies and functions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a global setting and coordinate with accounting teams worldwide.
• 4–5 years of post-qualification experience in IFRS accounting, audit and related financial processes.
