Job summary

Aeon Software in Mumbai seeks an experienced Group Finance Controller to oversee accounting, taxation, and compliance for entities in India, USA, Canada, and the Middle East. You will partner with Directors and senior leadership to enforce financial discipline and enable informed business decisions.

You will lead budgeting, consolidation, year-end closes, intercompany accounting, treasury, and tax compliance, while mentoring finance teams across locations.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/ACCA/CMA or MBA Finance or equivalent required.
• 12–15+ years of experience in finance and controllership.
• Thorough knowledge of Indian and international accounting practices for the group.
• Experience implementing an ERP system / SIX Sigma compliance / CMMI or similar certifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to analyze data for forecasting.
• Experience in software/Cloud service providers or digital payment solutions is a plus.

Job Description Group Financial Controller

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Group Finance Controller to manage accounting, taxation, compliance, for our entities in India, USA, Canada, and the Middle East.

The role involves working closely with Directors and senior management to ensure financial discipline, profitability, compliance, and informed business decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage group finance and accounting operations across the entities.
• Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, contingencies planning and analysis.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage year‑end closing activities, with reconciliations, consolidation, and intercompany accounting.
• Ensure compliance of group entities’ accounting, taxation, payroll, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee cross‑border and intercompany transactions, including foreign currency accounting and reconciliations.
• Oversee Bank Guarantees, L/C, Import/Export formalities (minimal) other securities / performance bonds, Insurances
• Oversee and explore funding possibilities with NBFC, Banks and especially govt schemes for MSME and other special Government schemes.
• Ensure GST/VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and other applicable tax compliances.
• Coordinate with appointed consultants like Company secretary/ Appointed Chartered Accountants and other consultants to ensure the compliance and timely actions for Returns filing and other statutory declarations as per the existing laws to the respective authorities like ROC, RBI and other such authorities.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, working capital, receivables, payables, and banking relationships.
• Lead and mentor finance teams and establish and ensure standardized accounting processes (Make/ Checker, Approval Process, Posting , Profit center, Cost Center etc ) across all locations
• Define processes which should ensure monitoring of costs, margins, profitability and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Work with HR on payroll accounting, manpower costs, benefits, and employee‑related benefits, PF, EPS and other such instruments for Tax Saving and related activities.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for business expansion, investments, pricing, contracts, and strategic decisions like IPO.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA / CPA / ACCA / CMA / MBA Finance or equivalent.
• 12–15+ years of experience in finance and controllership.
• Thorough knowledge of Indian and international accounting practices for the group.
• Experience in implementing an ERP system / SIX Sigma compliance / CMMI or similar systems / certifications
• Strong leadership skills with good communication and skills to analyze the data and present the forecasting
• Work experience in software Companies / Cloud service providers /Digital Payment Solutions providers will be considered a plus point.
