Job summary

IDEX is seeking a creative Graphic Designer - Packaging to own the packaging development lifecycle from concept to production at our Bengaluru site. You will lead AI-assisted design efforts, ensure print-ready artwork, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver high-quality packaging solutions.

The role requires 2+ years of packaging design experience, strong skills in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign, and a solid understanding of print production and materials.

Qualifications

• End-to-end packaging design experience using AI tools.
• Knowledge of CMYK/Pantone color management.
• Experience coordinating with printing vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative and visually appealing product packaging aligned with brand guidelines.
• Manage the complete packaging development process from concept to production.
• Utilize AI-powered design tools to generate ideas and optimize designs.
• Create packaging artwork for cartons, labels, pouches, sleeves, and other formats.
• Select packaging materials based on product requirements, sustainability, and cost.
• Coordinate with printing vendors to ensure accurate execution and timely production.
• Review proofs and approve print samples before mass production.
• Perform quality checks and resolve production issues.
• Brainstorm new packaging concepts, finishes, and innovations.
• Ensure compliance with branding and regulatory labeling requirements.
• Prepare print-ready artwork with dielines, bleed, and color profiles.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, procurement, and ops teams to meet schedules.
• Stay updated on packaging trends and AI design tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design innovative and visually appealing product packaging aligned with brand guidelines.
• Manage the complete packaging development process from concept to production.
• Utilize AI-powered design tools to generate ideas, optimize designs, and enhance creative workflows.
• Create packaging artwork for cartons, labels, pouches, sleeves, and other packaging formats.
• Select suitable packaging materials based on product requirements, functionality, sustainability, and cost.
• Coordinate with printing vendors and packaging suppliers to ensure accurate execution and timely production.
• Review proofs, monitor color accuracy, and approve print samples before mass production.
• Perform quality checks throughout the packaging development process and resolve production-related issues.
• Brainstorm new packaging concepts, finishes, and innovative design solutions.
• Ensure packaging complies with branding guidelines and regulatory labeling requirements.
• Prepare print-ready artwork, including dielines, bleed, color profiles, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, procurement, and operations teams to deliver packaging projects on schedule.
• Stay updated on packaging trends, sustainable materials, printing technologies, and AI design tools.

Requirements

• End-to-end packaging development from Packaging Design (using AI tools) to final production
• AI-assisted packaging design and creative concept development
• Packaging artwork creation and print-ready file preparation
• Material selection based on product requirements, functionality, cost, and sustainability
• Packaging quality control (QC) and print quality inspection
• Brainstorming innovative packaging concepts, structures, and finishing ideas
• Coordination with printing vendors and packaging manufacturers throughout production
• Knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, color management (CMYK/Pantone), and finishing techniquesDieline creation, artwork adaptation, and production file management
• Vendor communication, proof approvals, and production follow-up
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Experience with AI design tools such as Adobe Firefly, Mid journey, ChatGPT, and similar platform
