Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead audits, drive improvements in supplier processes and ensure zero-defect supplies for mechanical and electrical components.

The role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams (CFT) and suppliers to deliver field quality projects on time. The candidate should have QA experience, internships preferred, and exposure to automotive supplier ecosystems, with a focus on process stability, problem solving and corrective

Qualifications

  • Diploma or BE in Mechanical or Electrical or Automobile or Electronics.
  • Experience in QA preferred; internship in QA advantageous.
  • Industries: Auto, Auto Equipment, IT.

Responsibilities

  • Lead audits and monitor supplier process audits and improvements.
  • Drive quality performance improvements for proprietary components and electrical parts.
  • Coordinate with CFT and suppliers to implement Field Quality Projects on time.
  • Provide technical inputs for DV and development, ensure process stability and capability.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions by suppliers for deviations from standards.
  • Upgrade supplier capabilities through formal training.

Job description

Lead and Monitor Supplier Process audits, Improvements and VPPAP of Mechanical / Hydraulics Proprietary components (Ex Aux valve, HSU, Power steering, hydraulics pump, etc) as well as Electrical components (Ex Starter Motor, Alternator, Wiring harness, Sensors, Switches, Ls. Lead the Improvement of Quality Performance of assigned Suppliers and Ensure Zero defect Supplies. Monitor Supplier Performance Against DOL, GR, LR and field Quality Indicators and ensure continuous improvement in Supplier Quality. Lead for analysis and actions for In Plant Quality issues (Other Mahendra FD Locations) contributed by assigned Proprietary parts. Lead Field Quality projects for Domestic and Export issues, ensure Project implementation as per Plan. Coordinate with Other Functions (CFT) and supplier to get Field Quality Project, Plant specific Projects analysis and actions implementation on time, Visit in Field wherever is required. Coordination with CFT for installation sign off and Actions implementation. Track and Monitor the Project efficacy for Domestic / Export Field Quality issues. Review and provide inputs for SOR (Statement of requirement) during development of New Component. To establish and provide the Technical inputs for DV (Design Verification. Provide technical support to vendors to sustain and continuously improve in the quality of components supplied as well as establish process stability / capability. Identify need for corrective action by suppliers for any deviations from established stand ards. Upgrade Supplier Capabilities through Formal Training
