Job summary

Coforge seeks a GPP Payments QE to design, implement, and automate tests for core banking and payment systems. You will validate transaction lifecycles and ensure integration across rails such as SWIFT and ISO 20022.

You will translate specifications into test strategies, build automation, and perform backend SQL data checks on GPP-Fusion/ SP databases, while tracking defects in JIRA/ALM. Hybrid Pune/Hyderabad role.

Role GPP Payments QE

Location – Pune/Hyderabad

A GPP (Global PayPlus) Quality Engineer designs, executes, and automates test cases for core banking and payment systems. The role validates transaction life cycles, ensuring flawless integration across payment rails like SWIFT and ISO20022.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Design: Translate functional specifications and user stories into comprehensive test plans.
• Payment Validation: Conduct end-to-end (E2E) testing of payment workflows, including clearing, settlement, and fee calculations.
• Automation: Build and maintain automated test scripts for APIs, batch processes, and UI using frameworks like Selenium or Java-based tools.
• Database Queries: Perform back-end data validation and setup utilizing Oracle SQL against GPP-Fusion and GPP-SP databases.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using tracking tools such as JIRA or ALM.

Core Requirements

1. Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of payment schemes (ACH, RTGS) and messaging formats like ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT/MX.
2. Platform Experience: Hands-on experience testing Finastra GPP (Classic, SP, or Fusion).
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and fundamental knowledge of Unix or Linux environments.
