Job summary

TVS Credit Services Ltd invites an experienced Branch Manager - Gold Loan Sales in Chennai to lead branch operations, drive loan disbursement, collections, and customer engagement while ensuring strict adherence to company policies.

You will oversee vault and cash handling, gold valuation, risk controls, and regular reporting, while coaching staff and delivering growth across the gold loan portfolio in your catchment.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch-level activities to grow the gold loan portfolio, including disbursement, cash handling, vault management and compliance.
• Drive field marketing to promote gold loan schemes and enhance brand visibility.
• Coach and mentor staff; provide training to improve skills and performance.
• Prepare branch performance reports and use data insights for improvements and strategic decisions.
• Focus on customer engagement to acquire and retain clients throughout the gold loan journey.
• Maintain high quality performance of the gold loan business and manage NPAs and provisions.
• Ensure accurate valuation of pledged gold and verify weight, purity and related tests as required.
• Maintain safe storage of gold and cash in vaults and ensure secure operations.

Role & responsibilities

• Branch-Level Activities:
• Manage and oversee the Gold Loan portfolio of the branch, ensuring effective utilization and growth.
• Lead all branch-level activities to drive business growth, including loan disbursement, cash management, vault keeping, customer service, and compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with the team to drive field-marketing activities, promoting various gold loan schemes and enhancing brand visibility.
• Team Leadership:
• Coach, mentor, and provide timely feedback to employees, fostering a high-performance culture within the branch.
• Facilitate training to enhance employee skills and professional development.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare accurate and timely reports related to branch performance, functioning, and operational metrics.
• Utilize data insights to identify areas for improvement and strategic decision-making to increase the presence of TVS Credit in the Gold Loan market for your catchment.
• Customer Engagement:
• Focus on customer engagement strategies to acquire new customers and ensure their retention.
• Assist clients throughout their Gold Loan Financing journey, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Business Quality Performance:
• Maintain and enhance the quality performance of the branch's gold loan business by implementing necessary actions for growth.
• Ensure timely and effective collection activities, while proactively managing provisions for NPAs, to maintain financial health and compliance within the branch for Gold Loan business.
• Valuation and Compliance:
• Maintain accurate valuation appraisal of gold ornaments pledged in the branch, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit standards.
• Verify weight and purity assessments as required through acid and salt test, pointed scratch test, weight test, smell test usability test, flexibility test, sound test etc.

Ensure proper storage and safety of gold and cash assets in the vaults allocated

• Risk Management:
• Ensure the branch opens and closes in adherence to company compliance norms, maintaining operational integrity.
• Oversee and validate safe operations conducted by designated employees, upholding company policies without compromise for smooth functioning of gold financing operations.
• Uphold safety standards for branch infrastructure and operations, ensuring a secure and risk-free environment.
• Safeguard gold assets stored in branches and vaults, rigorously maintaining security standards to prevent compromise.
