Job summary

IHFL in India seeks a Branch Manager to drive business targets for gold loan operations and NBFC products. You will lead a branch team, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with KYC, audit, and regulatory requirements while managing day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include business development, monitoring branch scorecard, planning campaigns, and safeguarding assets with a focus on risk management and asset quality. Experience in GL/NBFC and team handling is essential.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in GL, NBFC, Retail lending or Banking.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Team Handling role.
• Strong knowledge of gold loan processes, valuation basics, and risk norms.

Responsibilities

• Drive branch to meet business targets and AUM growth.
• Monitor branch score card and market needs; identify opportunities.
• Plan marketing campaigns for lead generation and conversion.
• Ensure accurate disbursal and cross-sell targets across products.
• Manage day-to-day branch operations and compliance.
• Oversee recruitment, training and statutory norms at branch.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Business development: Driving branch to achieve Business Targets. Profitability and AUM targets m-o-m & FY; ensure cross-sell and upsell of financial products where applicable.
• Monitor and Control: Daily monitoring of critical parameters of Branch Score Card; Market study: Identify and assess market needs, market potential and competitor activities;
• Lead Generation: Plan and drive marketing campaigns or activities for branch to generate leads; ensure updation in Lead management module and effective follow up and conversion.
• Accountability: Responsible for business disbursal/transaction numbers/values and AUM targets; Responsibility for cross selling targets

Operations

• Manage overall branch operations and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
• Ensure accurate gold appraisal, valuation, and loan processing as per company policies.
• Verify and safeguard pledged gold ornaments and branch assets.
• Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation of gold packets and documents.
• Regulatory Compliance: Guide and ensure proper conduct of matters relating to Credit Assessment, KYC Adherence, Auction, Expense Management, Key Management, Bank Account Opening, Data Backup, Maintenance of Records / Documents / Registers, Closure of Gold Inspection/Audit Remarks and Customer Grievance Redressal within the agreed TAT.
• Collection Management: Ensure timely interest collection by branch and recovery of over dues as per targets, guiding branch to minimize NPA status of accounts as well as auction.
• Asset Quality and Fraud Management: Guide branch to ensure quality of the Assets / Collaterals / Ornaments pledged; take remedial actions for loss due to Spurious / Low Purity / theft ornaments & initiate efforts for recovery.

Manpower

• Recruitment: Completion of Branch Manning as per the prescribed TAT
• Training and Development: Identify training requirements and accordingly facilitate training in product, process and procedures for branch staff
• Statutory Requirements: To monitor all Labour and Statutory norms are adhered to, ensure display of required notices and maintenance of statutory registers at branch; Shop & Establishment Registration and renewals, Contract renewals and extensions etc.
