Job summary

MAG Finserv Company Limited is seeking an experienced Gold Auditor to conduct audits of gold jewellery, bullion, and inventory. The role focuses on valuation accuracy, stock verification, and adherence to audit procedures across jewellery operations.

Candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to travel for branch audits. Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• 310 years of relevant experience in Gold Audit / Jewellery Audit / Gold Valuation / Inventory Audit.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical verification and auditing of gold jewellery, bullion, and inventory.
• Verify gold stock against system records, registers, invoices, and transaction documents.
• Check purity, weight, quantity, wastage, making charges, and valuation of gold jewellery.
• Identify discrepancies, shortages, excess stock, and potential operational irregularities.
• Conduct branch/store audits and prepare detailed audit reports.
• Verify purchase, sales, exchange, repair, return, and gold-loan related transactions, as applicable.
• Review internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and audit procedures.
• Reconcile physical stock with books/system records.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with concerned teams for corrective action.
• Maintain proper audit documentation and supporting records.
• Prepare MIS and periodic reports for management.
• Ensure adherence to applicable jewellery industry standards and internal processes.

• Experience in jewellery retail, gold loan, bullion, or related businesses will be preferred.
• Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and audit/ERP software.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel to branches/stores for audits when required.
