Job summary

Muthoot FinCorp is seeking a seasoned Gold Inspector with 4–6 years of hands-on gold appraisal experience. The role requires determining purity, weight and value using approved testing methods, and ensuring accurate reporting. You will detect adulteration and irregularities while upholding stringent ethical standards across branch locations.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to gold loan procedures, regulatory guidelines, and cross-geography experience to support bank/NBFC operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Graduation (3-year degree) from a recognized institution.
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in gold appraisal is required.
• Experience in different geographies and understanding of financial sector and gold loan procedures would be an added advantage.
• Experience as a Gold Auditor with exposure to travel is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Inspect gold items to determine purity, weight, and value using approved testing methods.
• Identify adulteration, gold plating, or counterfeit jewellery during inspection.
• Detect fraudulent pledges, irregularities, and suspicious transactions.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, verification records, and audit observations.

Education Qualification and Experience

• Minimum Qualification: Graduation (34 year degree program) from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Adequate prior experience is critical for a highly qualified Gold Inspector. Candidates must possess a minimum of 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in gold appraisal.
• Experience in different geographies and understanding of financial sector, gold loan procedures and essential operations of a bank/NBFC would be an added advantage.
• Experience as a Gold Auditor in competitors with exposure to travelling experience is highly recommended. Role & responsibilities
