Job summary

SourceFuse is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain core services and APIs powering our products. You will build scalable backend solutions in Go and Node.js, deploy on AWS, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, strong expertise in RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and proficiency with cloud architectures. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for delivering robust software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant backend development experience with a computer science degree.
• Expert proficiency in Go and Node.js.
• Experience designing and implementing complex backend systems and APIs.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and integration technologies like gRPC or GraphQL.
• Experience with SQL and No-SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB).
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, SVN).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Extensive experience with AWS and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Go and Node.js.

• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Work with databases to design and implement data storage solutions.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

• 5+ years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline
• Expert proficiency in Go and Node.js.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing complex backend systems and APIs.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other integration technologies like gRPC or GraphQL
• Experience with SQL and No-SQL database technologies - MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Mongo DB, Cosmos DB,DynamoDB
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Github SVN).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred), including serverless architectures.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with security best practices (e.g., encryption, authentication, secure coding).
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
