Job summary

Executive Tracks Associates is seeking a Head of Finance & Controlling for its plant in Tamil Nadu. You will oversee end-to-end plant finance operations, drive robust financial controls, and support strategic decisions with timely, accurate insights across manufacturing, procurement, and capital investments.

Key duties include Capex monitoring, cost optimization, month- and year-end closings, BOM costing, GST and customs compliance, vendor negotiations, and ensuring SOX-compliant internal

Qualifications

• 7-20 years of experience in plant finance, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in SAP MM/FICO and advanced Excel.
• Experience in Capex monitoring, cost optimization, and financial controls.
• Knowledge of GST, customs regulations, and import-export documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end monitoring of Capex projects to ensure timely execution and capitalization.
• Drive commercial negotiations with vendors to optimize project costs.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and statutory requirements for Capex approvals and accounting.

Role & responsibilities

The Head of Finance & Controlling for the plant will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end plant finance operations, ensuring robust financial controls, cost optimization, and compliance. The role plays a critical part in driving financial discipline across supply chain, manufacturing, and capital investments while enabling strategic decision-making through accurate and timely financial insights.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end monitoring of Capex projects to ensure timely execution and capitalization.
• Drive commercial negotiations with vendors to optimize project costs.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and statutory requirements for Capex approvals and accounting.

Government Incentives & Stakeholder Management

• Manage PLI schemes, state subsidies, and related claims documentation.
• Liaise with government authorities such as SIPCOT to ensure timely submissions and realization of incentives.

Financial Closing & Reconciliations

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing for plant operations.
• Review and reconcile GR/IR accounts, ensuring closure of open items.
• Collaborate with Procurement, AP, and Logistics teams to resolve discrepancies.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control

• Lead plant-level budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor conversion costs and ensure adherence to budget targets.

Costing & BOM Analysis

• Analyze changes in Bill of Materials (BOM) and assess financial impact.
• Oversee monthly costing runs and validate accuracy of results.

Vendor Management & Account Reconciliation

• Perform regular vendor account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Monitor advances to vendors and ensure timely settlement.
• Track customs duty entries and other supply chain-related financial items.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and statutory/cost audit compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
